EMS III CoD 4 goes Live

After many many qualification rounds and much really close matches we will announce today all information and teams for the Call of Duty 4 ESL Major Series Season III. This season will be a bit shorter then all the other the reason for this you'll find in the text bellow.
Because of Call of Duty 5 we decide to make the EMS III for the Call of Duty 4 section a bit shorter. This means we will play a double elimination cup in place of the normal groupstage. These double elemination cup counts also as the playoffs, so its absolutely necessary for all teams to play from start off with 100 percent. Back to the series we will show you in the following table all teams which qualified for the playoffs.

The System

We will play in a double eliminations cup with fixed maps. The promod mode is maxround 12. If there is a draw the teams needs to play an overtime based on the maxround 3 system.
Exception is the overallfinal, we will use there the normal double elimination final system which means two maps. Each team will picks one map from the mappool and only the mapwins counts. The Winnerbracket-Team needs to win one map the Losersbracket-Team two.
