Hi there,
like promised the private beta is now public! We had to fix a few minor issues and added some new features like:

PS: Seanza updated the gather servers with the promod, he wanted me to let you know that you should consider updating!
like promised the private beta is now public! We had to fix a few minor issues and added some new features like:
- Objective wont be visible to the enemies through walls anymore
- Reworked revive so that you have instant revive, but you will have to be closer to the one you revive (yes we listen, see!)
- Nades wont fly over the whole map anymore, still they will fly further than the retail patch
- HUD has been reworked, thanks to crumbs for the feedback
- Respawn times had been reworked (thanks to the forums and irc spam)
- Added some kind of cvar "hack" (read readme) to make it easier to change / test spawntimes
- Added proper reload sounds for the weapons if you are in drawgun 0 mode
- Fixed most leaf animation (this was broken in the beta)

My guess is a bit higher than yours of 5%. Mine would be atleast 20% of the Wolf PC users have played ET or RTCW and liked it a lot.
About BF2: kk. I take "BF2 lovers" back. "ETQW lovers" is still enough as an argument from my point of view in terms of personal preferences of gameplay / gamestyle.
An interesting thought I have is, if there would be a new "ET2" or "Wolf3" / "RTCW3" game in the future, where the game was like CS:S, aka same game but newer graphics. As a gamer with ET background as you say you are, would you then be interested in making a comp mod for such a game? Or does ET & RTCW gameplay completely bore you?
My guess you are bored sick of ET and RTCW gameplay, since you appreciate the big differences in ETQW for example.
just stop whining on me with this, you wont change it. And tbh, you should really consider sticking with ET, i cant see you have fun in any other game.

Hope come, that you, that with dislike for the concept of ET with better graphics is making mods for this genre?
For ETQW you could say ETQW was a genre of it own.
But for Wolfenstein, I'd say you are against the will of big majority of ET players.
Why make mod for a game, where you have the chance to help people get a ET with better graphics-game, when you have no such wish to do that.
To me it seems you are making a mod, for your personal modmakeing-merits.
You are not doing this mod for the RTCW and ET players, are you?

Adding cvars for this is just not worth it. Needs lots of testing then its ok
will see what the SDK holds for us
dont aim, just aim in the middle and use movement for aim. otherwise you dont hit shit, and its weird cause they said they removed spread for moving the mouse.
The movement was somehow better, not sure if it was placebo-effect or what :)
Hitsounds were weird, but apparently you can fix them yourself, gonna do it when I got time.
Reviving was way better.

Restarted as a default Stopwatch server for now ...
That way you can play vanilla game with woflpro ( but with fixes that are usefull even for noobs or vanilla players ) Or you can make it into competition mod. Also that way leagues can decide what cvars and not what to use, together with the community. Shrapmod has some nice ideas ofc. But it doesnt suit wolfenstein how it is now.
But dividing a non existant community between 2 mods will cause more harm than good. And none of the mods seem interesting to me atm (vanilla wolf = no; ET wolf = no)
At wolfpro we aim to make the game more suitable for competition as well as provide regular players/servers more flexibility with how they play the game.
Maybe you could make a list of what you are wanting to implement, and ask people here on cf for feedback about it.
Discussing it could be one way to unite shrap and wolfpro here, to work in the same direction. This rejoins what zenix said ... some shrap actual features are too much but implementing it with cvars to let people activating it at will, and let the leagues/community chose what they want.

And btw if I try to join a team it says teams are full but others can join... without some1 leaving from the teams.
Try autoassign when teams are more than 6v6.

About the promod itself, I liked vanilla, but the game is even better with promod, although I dislike some choice (seems to die/kill a lot faster at far distance, but it may be only a one day belief). Anyway, the team that made Quake Wars playable can't fail with a game that was better at its start. Hope you will catch the SDK pretty fast to complete the job. :)
i download both things provided on that hannes site or whatever. i try to run the set up and it says to find where wolfenstein is installed, i look, and click legit everything that is in both wolfenstein files... and i get nothing.
so i try and add the promod straight into the wolfenstein/mp file and add
"C:\Program Files\Activision\Wolfenstein\MP\Wolf2MP.exe" +set fs_game wolfpro
as the name. and get that "the name 'c:\program files\activision\wolfenstein\wolf2mp.exe' specified in the targer box is not valid. make sure the path and the file name are correct."
someone please help me because either i am missing something or a file is messed up and its pissing me off.

There is a slight difference between these two lines, can you see it ?
Anyway, you should have these lines in your shortcut properties :
Target as : C:\Program Files\Activision\Wolfestein\MP\Wolf2MP.exe +set fs_game wolfpro
Start as (just under Target as line) : C:\Program Files\Activision\Wolfestein\MP\
but lets say i just wanna stick the wolfpro folder right into the directory, where does it go. right into the MP folder or into another folder into another folder in the MP folder such as BASE?
anyway im just gonna start fresh as if i just downloaded them. if you can walk me through it, even quickly, thatll help.

I means im already 37 with quasi all unlock, imagine a war vs a team with player at level max 5 with none unlock...not realy fair
So maybe reset the level on ur next wolfpro edit
Edit : btw this wolfpro still dont help me to gain fps
my comp : Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 @ 3.33Ghz + 3.25 GB ram - Ati HD4800 series
And still no more then 45 fps max
with my pc in my profile i allways have above 120 fps. On high res, and some places even above 200-300fps.
For exemple game like Arma2 => all at maximum and not prob at all same for Cod4 an more. The only place i had more then 200 is on changing map :)
For the drivers it was the last version and for the cfg i used a low details cfg specialy to gain fps but doesnt change
