Announcing the next season of Europe's top online league. Thirteen games, fourteen tournaments, more than a thousand players competing, several thousand will try to qualify - and €15,000 prize money. Get ready for ESL Major Series Season V!

The ESL Major Series is the highest level of European competition in the ESL for disciplines not included in the Intel Extreme Masters and has already awarded more than €70,000 in prize money to hundreds of gamers in the past two years.

We are back again for our fifth season to bring you more thrilling matches featuring the best players and teams from across Europe and the world.

Again, Crossfire game Enemy Territory will be part of the ESL Major Series Season V. Like last season the tournament offers a prize money of €500! In Season IV Europe H2k-Gaming won the tournament, but who will be the next champion? Details on the qualification system will be announced the next days!

• Enemy Territory (6on6): €500
• Counter-Strike: Source (5on5): €4,000
• Counter-Strike Female (5on5): €1,500
• FIFA 09 (5on5): €1,500
• Quake Live (4on4): €1,000
• DotA (5on5): €1,000
• Dawn of War 2 (Clanwar): €1,000
• Team Fortress 2 (6on6): €1,000
• Day of Defeat: Source (6on6): €750
• America's Army (4on4): €500

1on1 disciplines
• StarCraft: Brood War: €750
• Trackmania: €500
• FIFA 09*: €500
• Pro Evo Soccer 2009*: €500

Looking for Call of Duty 4 and Counter-Strike 1.6?
Counter-Strike 1.6 is included in the $500,000 Intel Extreme Masters.
Due to the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in November, we have skipped the Call of Duty series this season but expect to include it again next season.

since ET players tend to not play in ESL ladders but tourney.cc or CB cups its already hard enough to argument for ET within a prizemoney competition :)

It has already improved within the last years but can still improve ;=)

Well said. Its why i turned to the U.S. scene lans on a competition level.
