Wednesday night we saw an intense matchup on hospital for the first round of playoffss in the intel id/activision wolfenstein championships betweem Team Dignitas and Hubris.
Dignitas being a UK based team definately had the ping disadvantage as they were playing on an east coast us server, but they didnt let that deter them.
Starting off on the defense, Hubris did an excellent job of closing down the second objective of disrupting the experiment, as a lot of teams in multi-objective stopwatch do, they let dignitas get the first objective with relative ease while setting up shop in the experiment room.
Once the door was blown however it took dignitas at least 4 minutes to get to the objective let alone disrupt it, but disrupt it they did at 6:13.
So with some leeway and playing room, Hubris took over as the attackers, but they were held to a full hold as they were unable to get past the Dignitas defense. They did sucessfully manage to plant on the experiment but unfortunately it was defuse and the second plant ran out of time.
Into the second round we go, with Hubris having first crack at the cake. Again dignitas let them get the doors with relative ease although did put up some formidable resistance in that area, but once the doors went that was a totally different ball game.
With a highly effective crossfire tactic setup across the experiment, hubris struggled to get anywhere near the objective, but a sneaky move found 2 Hubris players manage to get the bomb down and the experiment disrupted at 5:17.
Dignitas on the attack for this last quarter of the match, Hubris seemed like they were starting to take note of the crossfire tactics that Dignitas used and actually started playing them at their own game, with a 5:7 time to beat it’s certainly feasible that hubris could keep them to a full hold. Unfortunately with a nice play from 2nice2hit, reload and wolfi3d (apologise for the spelling :P ) they manage to get the bomb off at 2:37 winning the game overall 2-0.
Players in Last nights match
Hubris: VtmN, Melacagoo, Ras, M4imus, Chump
Dignitas: Drago, Wilfi3d, 2nice2kill, Bjorn, Reload
My Typefrag Hacker of the match is BJorn from Dignitas who ran away with most of the awards from all four rounds, My Rager of the match is Maximus from Hubris as apparantly from all accounts by h.sub6, he was raging on vent/ts2 and threw his mouse around.
It’s going to be interesting to see if the old rivalry between Team Affliction and Team Dignitas bears any bones as that is the expected finals matchup on Monday night. However, Affliction have to go through FATE and Dignitas have to beat fX to reach the finals….
So will it be the expected Dignitas vs Affliction grudge match? or will either or neither of these teams make it…
One thing is for sure though, We will be finding out for definite Sunday night when we watch the Affliction vs FATE match live on Gamefire (http://www.gamefire.com) at 9:30pm EST….

Further in th EU are like 2 clans active.
I could make bold claims that other users are OPPRESSING wolfplayers right to a clean site the same as etplayers have, but I'm not as stupid as you.
awesome news :)
They should've put money into an ET tournament, since Wolf is more dead than ET even though it's years older..
Wolfenstein (failed)
Bothe games came after ET so i think it is time that the developers start looking back at ET / RTCW since those 2 old games did/do so well.
So yep they should do more effort for ET.
awesome news :)
