IEM Global Challenge Dubai - Matches + Tables

Counter Strike 1.6

Its Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge time again. This weekend, 12 of the best teams in the world meet in United Arab Emirates

Dubai to fight for the crown of Global Challenge Dubai. ESL managed to set up a prizepurse of $25,000 so thats another big aspect for those teams. The favourites are SK Gaming, winner of the previous Global Challenge in China

Chengdu, and fnatic, who lost after overtime on both maps vs SK in the previous Global Challenge. One should not underestimate teams like mousesports, who won the first Global Challenge in Germany

Cologne and MeetYourMakers, who are freshly back to revive their glory history. We can expect another exciting weekend of finest Counter Strike by the best teams in the world. Can SK repeat their victorious performance, or will any of the "unknown" teams surprise ? Tune it @ ESLTV and find it out.

Yeah and a short introductory paragraph is a crash course for those that haven’t seen previous posts (games, location, prize, famous participants), a ‘what’s on TV’ tab takes two seconds and adds massively to the usability and breaking up the text just looks better, it also shows the breakup of play (I imagine the times are GR1 / GR2 / etc).

Just providing the info about when we can watch it at ESL tv will be greatly appreciated. You can check on Cadred & Tek-9 from time to time for results, no need to follow it yourself :)

I lolled at the MYM comment, please don't ever compare the current CS team to the old PGS lineup ever again. I mean, really, zet? Have fun lucking a couple tourneys, MYM will sadly just get rolled hard in the long run... but honestly, new MYM is zet, Delpan, pita, moddii, Jumpy... sounds like a bunch of ex-Blank/Begrip guys that never really sparked. Seems as if the organization just picked up whichever professional Swedes were free-agents at the time. I have to admit though, SK's face + kHRYSTAL addition actually worked out pretty nicely buuut... I'll be cheering on fnatic :P GeT_RiGhT and f0rest in one team = gg

I don't think coming back strong or not is the problem for them, it seems to be more of an issue of how long they can stand at the top consistently :P I mean, the old line never came out of that slump even after dominating so many competitions prior to the downfall.

Trust me, when you see how the new mTw team plays Im more than sure that you'll change your favorit team. Seeing them playing today was like watching the old 2008 team. They're amazing especilly the young minet guy.

they never sparked in the international scene because they never had the support to do so, they've done well in Sweden together with H2k for a long time.. even in matchups against the likes of fnatic, SK and mousesports.

besides, picking up a swedish semi-elite team is never a bad thing.. =)
.. and about zet, he fits much better with MYM than he did with SK.
