While one of the biggest global tournaments in both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Quake Live is taking place right at this moment in the stylish and modern Dubai, the Danish LAN organization SLAP has still managed to get some of the world’s finest team from both Counter-Strike 1.6 & Counter-Strike: Source to their medium sized Danish LAN "SLAP LIVE #19".
This time the #19 Edition of SLAP LIVE will be held in Copenhagen, the biggest city in Denmark and the beating heart of eSports within this small nation, as several big names have their offices there as well as having a favourable location (plenty of train connections and close to the Swedish Zlatan-loving neighbors).
Seeding system:
There will be one high seed, one middle seed and 2 or 3 low seeds per group. Middle and low seed will be randomly put into the groups.
The teams will advance to the playoffs, according to the following:
- Number 1 and 2: A-tournament (Winners playoff)
- Number 3 and 4: B-tournament (Runners up playoff)
- Number 5: C-tournament (Losers playoff)*
Counter-Strike 1.6
With Counter-Strike 1.6 being the usual highlight at major events, it does not look like it will be any different this time around. But with such a great deal of variation between skill level, it is very unlikely we will see any of the big names fall prior to the play-off stage.
mTw and SoA should be the ones reaching the finals, yet excluding the Ravens or DSRack guys from a possible upset would be unwise as they have proven countless times in the past before.

Counter-Strike: Source
The CS:S scene is not what you call one of the most predictable ones, back-to-back winners are a rare sight on the, albeit few, events hosted. One should be looking at the strength of teams as a whole, as the different scenes often offer a strong group sense.
In the current scene you can recognise several of the strong teams, luckily the SLAP Live crew decided to divide them equally across the 12 groups during the group phase.
Most of those teams that stand out most, are the following: Dignitas, ROCCAT, fnatic, mTw, Vitrolic. Why? do you ask, simply because they have been the origin of most of the event winners across the last years, proving the depth of their local talent pool.
