Team Dignitas win SLAP #19

Once again, Team Dignitas was able to win a Counter Strike:Source lan. SLAP #19, a so called “medium-sized-lan”, which took place in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. They were able to beat vitriolic in 2 maps.

Team Dignitas, the big favourites and number one seed, are the winners of SLAP #19. Even with a new lineup, they already seem to be on top of Counter Strike:Source in Europe. Big teams like fnatic, who lost 16:0 to mTw in Loser Bracket Round 3, The Imperial or the grand final participant Vitriolic tried to eliminate Dignitas, but they didnt even lose a single match.

In the Grand Final, Vitriolic had to win 2 maps as they were coming from the loser brackets. They managed to pull up a great CT round on de_inferno and managed to have a comfortable 12-3 before switching to Terrorists. Not many expected Dignitas to strike back on Inferno, but they’ve proved those wrong who didnt believe in them. In the end, Vitriolic managed to win 4 T rounds to win Inferno 16-12. The second map was de_tuscan. Team Dignitas dominated the CT round and won it 12-3, just like Vitriolic did on Inferno. But the new lineup of Dignitas was able to win all the 4 T rounds to win on their first tournament.

In a nutshell, Team Dignitas convinced everybody with their new lineup and we probably need a team like RedLine to beat them. Also some credits goes to Vitriolic, who played an amazing tournament finishing second, although it was some kind of expected.
