Smashing Sunday

This Sunday is no ordinary Sunday - instead, there is a slight twist. It's a Sunday with another round of sensational and epic games courtesy of ClanBase's fine EuroCup XX season. We can expect 7 spectacular games across the night - all broadcast live on ETTV.



Glitz-eSports are set to take on MASCULINE MANS for the first time this season. Just the other night, we saw Glitz-eSports take a painful beating from the underdogs, sublime. They were thrashed 4-0 by sublime - an unexpected result according the the GamesTV.org odds. Their recent lineup problems are partly to blame. MASCULINE MANS have won all 4 of their previous matches from this season's EMS and EuroCup. The odds are in MASCULINE MANS' favour again. It seems likely they will make it 5 this Sunday - possibly another one sided match.

We saw Cortana make a return to the EuroCup this season. Shortly after, they were kicked out by EDiT in an epic and tedious match during the qualifying stages. The end result was 5-3 towards EDiT. However, a spare slot became available after another EC team who qualified into the group stages were torn apart and killed off. Cortana had to battle it out against the remaining losers for a place in the group stages. Of course, they did gain a place. And here they are again! This time, they will battle it out against the well known Team-YoYoTech, previously known as FiF. Team-YoYoTech have had achieved some outstanding results for their team - both at LAN and online. With an advantage in terms of concious teamplay, Team-YoYoTech are expected to win the match with ease, and so the GamesTV.org community agrees. The odds are in their favour with 6.56 - 1.18. But we have all seens the tables turn before!

This is more like it! Team Celsus vs EDiT - possibly the greatest match of the night. The odds are severely tight with 1.95 to 2.06 - slightly in favour towards Team Celsus. However, EDiT have had a few unexpected and close results this season. After returning from their previous EuroCup scandal, they haven't quite performed as expected - possibly due to a long break and minor lineup change. They were thrashed 4-0 by TAG in their previous match. Team Celsus took TAG on 2 weeks ago, taking the win with a decider. Hence, in theory, Team Celsus should take the win this Sunday. On the other hand, EDiT have started to get back into their old flow, which mixes up the odds again - WHICH, makes this match one to watch on the night!

A few days ago, we saw Glitz-eSports take a painful beating from sublime. With their heads held up high, sublime are set to take on the Polish Powerhouse blurred-vision this Sunday. blurred-vision have been all over the place recently, losing matches they should have won, and winning matches they should have lost. The odds are still in their favour this match with 1.57 - 2.76, however both teams are fairly unpredictable. This will be a match that can go either way - a complete slaughtering, one sided match or a breathtaking and exciting match. One to watch? Perhaps, but a bit of a risk...

Also on this fine Smashing Sunday, the sleeping 6 are set to take on the European mix (I didn't know that would rhyme until rereading, so please don't cringe!) - Sleeperz vs asd. Sleeperz are well known for giving the top teams a run for their money, often leading to a decider and sometimes a well deserved win. Just a few days ago they were able to take an unexpected win (4-2) against Team Celsus. asd have won 3/5 of their previous matches during this season's EMS and EC, however after an impressive performance from Sleeperz against Team Celsus, a win for Sleeperz is most likely. Definitely a match to keep an eye on.

And Finally, we have TAG taking on xt6 Gaming to finish this Sunday's EC round. xt6 Gaming have lost both their officials this season, and are the underdogs this game. TAG have not performed exceptionally this season, however with a terrifying and spectacular lineup from which is incomparable to xt6 Gaming , a win is most likely. A one sided match? Probably. A match to watch once the other 6 games are over.
