Quake Live ESL EC announced

ESL has announced the format and prize money for the Intel Extreme Masters QL European Championship. The best 32 duellers of Quake Live will battle it out for a total amount of $13,200.

16 players will be invited based on their previous results and another 16 will be selected by four qualifier cups.
  • Qualification Cup #1: Wed, 04/11/09 20:00 CET
  • Qualification Cup #2: Mon, 09/11/09 20:00 CET
  • Qualification Cup #3: Thu, 12/11/09 20:00 CET
  • Qualification Cup #4: Sun, 15/11/09 20:00 CET
The actual tournament will start mid November. Out of the 32 initial participants, the 16 best will go through to the European Championship Finals taking place off line in early 2010.

The prize purse:


$13.200 in total
$75 per won match
$100 Bonus for Qualifying for the Finals
Online: $5.200
Finals: $8.000
