What is True Combat: Elite?
TrueCombat:Elite (TCE) is a modern world total conversion of the free, popular, stand-alone first-person shooter, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. That is, TCE is an entirely free game, made by gamers, for gamers.
TCE was developed by GrooveSix Studios and Team Terminator. While Team Terminator is known for the famous Q3 based TrueCombat series, GrooveSix Studios was initiated by retired Team Terminator co-founder Coroner to develop a Return to Castle Wolfenstein modification that was never released.
Now, the most important question: "What can I expect from TCE?"
TCE is a tactical-team shooter, set up in a modern-world environment. TCE puts you into the role of elite mercenary soldier in the conflicts of two internationally operating forces. The Global Intervention Force (GIF626 aka in-game as "Spec Ops") is a special force formed of the top of the world experts joining from US Delta force, UK SAS, German KSK and GSG9, to mention a few. An international mercenary organization known as "The Unit" (aka "Terror" in-game) is their opponent. It was reported that some members of the Unit were once with the Special Op forces, but the lure of money was strong.
You say to yourself, "Yet another terror counter-terrorism shooter. Why the hell should I try it? Been there, done that!"
We say: Because you don't have to spend a cent (it's totally free) and it features:

0.49 is crap.
I'm having trouble to remember 0.48, just know it was a lot better.
I think the maps changed a bit, general look/feel/handling too I believe, though can't remember for sure.
And you can't just hack an anticheat like that, sure you can try and bypass it, but hacking is a lot more difficult and since bypassing is a lot easier, most will attempt that.
Not to mention that antipro will detect cheats in the same+new ways as PB and thus be epic pwnage and means cheatcoders will have to start from scratch again since modifying existing cheats will not work anymore. :)
This will give us some time already. Add the updates of antipro and the license key part and I believe cheaters are going to meet some very dark times.
But more on topic : Antipro = Etpro + anti cheat and thus will not be able to used on other mods as its a mod its own.
that's what MW2 thought too but in the same day till it got released suprice suprice there was aimbot released. you must believe in fairly tales too if you think no one can't hack a system what is made by a man.
funnyest part on this is, that you guys use years of your lifes to do something good and what will be raped in the end by hack makers.
By the sound of it, they simply bypassed the anticheat.
Someone who hacks the anticheat could do a lot more then just use cheats. They could ban etc...
And it will take more than a week normally. lol

more or less every distro instal looks the same. may have problems with sound: then search for solution made by Wolfenstein Enemy Territory comunity. TC:E is a WET mod
