Dreamhack Winter 09 - CS 1.6 Tournament

image: dreamhack_logoThe tournament which takes place in November at the DreamHack LAN party will see some of the biggest names in 1.6 taking part as well as a number of amateur teams who have the opportunity to qualify for the main event via a BYOC competition. If you havent seen any 1.6 matches yet, watch this and be amazed. Also, there will be tournaments for the WoW 3v3 and Street Fighter IV Pro's. It might be the last chance for Activision to prove that MW2 is a competitive game, teams like Czech Republic Power Gaming or United Kingdom Team Dignitas are fighting for a prizepruse of 65,000 SEK. There will be live online coverage by Swedish Television, hosted by former CS champion Miguel "Quick" Bonett of team9/adrenaline (2002-2004). In Swedish of course, but still nice to see mainstream media giving eSports a chance.
