Intel Sunday Night Cup #3 - Pre-Tournament Infos

For the first time, the mappool will be announced some days before the cup kicks off. This way teams can take the opportunity to practise the maps that will be played in the Intel Crossfire Night Cup 3 next Sunday.

The mappool is: bremen_b2 reactor supply radar braundorf_b4 - hell yeah.

We decided to test bremen_b2 to see how it works in a 5vs5 format. A little change has been made though. As reactor was flamed like anything new here on crossfire, we decided to take braundorf instead of reactor. Adding supply and radar as well known maps to have a well balanced mappool.

Signups will open at Sunday 00:00 CET and close Sunday 16:00 CET this time. The Cup will kick off at 17:30 once again. Be sure to sign your team up in the newspost coming later this week.

Most likely, it'll be the last Intel Night Cup in 2009, but there've always been exceptions.So prepare and have fun.

don't forget to try et_ice and maybe fix the landmine bug

How many tests (qcon 5vs5 for example) it will need to determine that the map is piece of shit?

Why? When braundorf was played in that cb 5on5 hosted summer cup, it was probably the most played map. If you think about it, it makes sense at least on "paper". In 6on6 its very fast 4min map, in 3on3 it's usually fullhold. In 5on5, it might actually be somewhere in between, which is great. Also there aren't any maps with the last objective being a dynamite obj, so it would be a nice difference.

If i check my demos from those times, I see almost only braundorf, must have been something good about it otherwise we wouldn't have played it that much in 5on5.

Nah, nvm, let's test reactor for the 6th time. Might work!

completely agree, i think braundorf would be brilliant, and reactor is always awful, every season.

jeah reactor is a lot fun in scrims.. due to this cov and engi spam stuff.. but for really competetiv matches its more annoying :)

only thing i hate in that map is the delivery_like_corridors, lean + 3hs, though delivery is even worse than braundorf, since its 1st stage is useless.

RAW Castle (has to be tested not rly sure if it sold be good for 5v5)

And for sure i love to see more SOS Secret weapon getting back in it.
