Thirteen of the finest leagues, more than a thousand players competing, several thousand will try to qualify - and €13,000 worth of prize money. Get ready for the ESL Major Series Season VI!

The ESL Major Series is the highest level of European competition in the ESL for disciplines not included in the Intel Extreme Masters and has already awarded more than €85,000 in prize money to hundreds of gamers in the past three years.

We are now back to bring you some of Europe's and beyond exciting matches and best gamers in the sixth instalment of the ESL Major Series.
Team disciplines:
  • Enemy Territory (5on5): €750
  • Call of Duty 4: €1,000
  • Quake Live (4on4): €750
  • Counter-Strike: Source (5on5): €3,000
  • FIFA 10 (5on5): €1,500
  • DotA (5on5): €750
  • Dawn of War 2 (Clanwar): €750
  • Team Fortress 2 (6on6): €750
  • Day of Defeat: Source (6on6): €750
  • America's Army (4on4): €750
  • WCIP: €500

The Enemy Territory staff wants to thank all players and the community for the great 5th EMS season we had and as a gift for the great activity ESL increased the Enemy Territory prizepurse by 50% to 750€!

We will publish further details on the qualifiying system of this season within the next week, so stay tuned!

season 3 didnt feature an Enemy Territory tournament. If you speak of season 2, that has been fully payed already, if you think you did not receive what you deserved either contact the person you gave the bank details to or your teamleader (if you arent).

if you compare it with crossfire competitions please remember: every player has to pay 25 euro (?) to take part at a crossfire competition while the ESL tournaments are completly FREE (even premium requirement has been removed for et tournaments years ago).

you will get the money like every other team/player before. ESL is NOT clanbase which could not pay all bills and cannot announce prize money for euro cup or other competitions any more because the do not have anything to give away..

i know it is not good to wait some months for your money. but nobody of the et admin crew can influence it. there are some admins who spent hundreds of hours the last months to let this competition run on good way. you should be thankful for it - and this is also one reason why the prize money got increased for enemy territory. but it must be a special problem of the et community that you mainly like to "flame" :D

I am thankful and i rly appreciate esl admins work , and its not like community like to flame but last time i had any info regarding esm 4 money was mail from 3 months ago so "flame" is caused by lack of information or communication between admins and teams. Also i have asked mister about month ago about some info , he was supposed to ask some1 but he simply didn't or forgot. Your comment is the first information about what we can expect but its still not telling us how long we are suppsoed to wait.

You won - correct me if I'm wrong - one tournament with prizemoney? It's not like you are member of a CPL team that flew to the USA or something like that. The money will be sent and you slowly should have gotten aware that ESL pays out pretty late, though they at least pay. In one or two months you can be happy about your hard earned ~80€.

I would not run any new ET tournament without a proper anti-cheat tool. The "no pb" times made the worst in ET's history - everyone even players who never thought of cheating have at least tested it once. I hope you're taking the initiative and make ET better again, else this tournament will be as bad as all in the past months.

we actually never allowed anyone to play without PB. It is only Clanbase who have that rule in their rulesets. Unfortunately 90% of the matches would be cancelled & deleted if we would be strict about it.

allowing it doesn't mean it's in the rules, else it would mean esl ladders and cups have no pb rule aswell since 50+% of these matches on both CB + ESL are being played without PB, the anti-cheat is pure shyt nowadays anyway.

(i dont see a problem of letting clans use no pb when both teams agree, since it's their agreement)

I wouldnt allow it if it wasnt the whole community wanting it. PB is a flaw ofcourse but a competetive scene cant grow or survive for long without any anticheat (imo).

True, it has its advantages and disadvantages, PB is pretty ridiculous when you see how much they get payed yearly to support ET, it's around 35,000, and they never detected a private cheat :D
