EuroCup Groupstage finale!

After 6 weeks of Groupstage battles and drama, it's all confirmed for Groups A and Group C, as colt45 take pole position, Impact take second, and Squad.ee take a surprising third place after Finspastic5 failed to win a map against colt45, making them the lowest on round difference, an unlucky way for the fins to get eliminated since they had beat the estonians by 4 round to 2. In Group C, OVERLOAd took first, Rockit second, and Speedlink third place respectively.

In Group A we have squirtles and nkNn who have been 'raped' after having activity and lineup problems, just like colt, Impact, and Finspastic. Group A surely has brought stability problems for the teams, you may call it the "Group of stability".

Fighting for the wooden spoon and 5th place are squirtles and nkNn, this will be a close match for both teams considering the other teams were way out of their league, that is, if nkNn actually play their match, rumours are that they are dead and caej has joined Squad.ee

The final match of Group A is between colt45 and squirtles. KaMz's team will be aiming to continue their winning streak and should take an easy 4-0 in this match.

Prediction

squirtles have failed to impress in their recent matches, they have looked shaky in all their matches unlike the colt45 side which have impressed and run-over every team that has come in their way, they are yet to lose a map in the ClanBase EuroCup and are looking to secure a fifth straight 4-0 win, to end up with a map score of 20-0, only one other team has been able to do this this season and that is idle. I can only see one outcome in this game; a comfortable 4-0 colt45 victory.

What a group has Group B proven to be, you might say that both Sunday & Monday will both be judgment days as e-WAVE, TAG and DreaM will fight it off for third place. DreaM vs e-WAVE contains two fairly balanced teams, both have surprised versus the big teams but only one of these 3 teams will go through. TAG will be Hope-ing that e-WAVE win this match, because any other result will mean that either TAG or e-WAVE (if they win both matches) will pass through the playoffs.

Prediction

e-WAVE have picked up a good momentum after a disappointing start, on the other hand DreaM have had a fantastic start, but seems like they are losing that spark, and with the recent loss of MoTiF who allegedly is in prision at the moment, a tight 4-2 win for the e-WAVE side.






The EC Groupstage finally comes to an end on Monday with the last match being TAG vs e-WAVE, only on sunday will we know who is still in a chance to pass to the EuroCup Playoffs. If DreaM beat e-WAVE it's all over for e-WAVE.

What a DreaM it would be if TAG lost this match, although that might not be needed if DreaM win versus e-WAVE on Sunday, if not, then their faith relies on the score of this match, if TAG win, then TAG goes through, if e-WAVE win then it's a 3 way tie, and in that case, the result of the matches between the tied clans will count, and e-WAVE will go through.

FUZZ: "Unfortunately after our last EC game vs nulli we almost haven't played at all. Lack of motivation struck Lightning, keyplayer zerender without internet connection for 2 weeks, and in addition to that our QuakeLive superstar mud1xza broke his PC few days ago and we haven't heard from him since then.

So thing are not that good. However, despite it all I am quite optimistic about our chances in this game, we will try our best with what we have"

Prediction

I think it pretty much depends on the Dream vs e-WAVE match, both TAG and e-WAVE have had good results in the last matches, lack of activity from the TAG side gives me doubts, but e-WAVE haven't convinced me yet either, so I will reply on the experience of Lightning to carry the TAG side to a 4-2 victory.

It has taken me quite a couple of hours to make this write-up so i have not written a match preview for squirtles vs nkNn & zeroE.FiF vs Epsilon since most likey both matches will end up being a noshow win.
