RtCW NC Groupstage Over

The group stage is now over and the teams going into the single elimination semi finals are now known, making it out of group A in first place are United Kingdom and in second place Germany the other two teams making it into the semis are Netherlands who finished first and Hungary who finished second in group B. The semi final games are then as follows:



This game should proove to be a tough contest with both teams having some great experience in their midst. United Kingdom are the seeded team in this game due to finishing first in their group and Hungary should not be underated though, whichever team brings their A game has the best chance of winning.



Big rivalry here and that will hopefully give us a top match - NL are here as the seeded team after they came through their group in top spot - but what will catch Germany's eye are the amount of rounds lost or not won by the Dutch side, winning two of their three games 2-1 and the other 4-0 Germany will be confident of being in with a chance here.

The winners of each game progress into the Grand Final while the losers will play a 3rd place playoff match to decide who picks up bronze. Good Luck & Have Fun!

How does WTV work? on WTV you log on to the a special server where you will watch a 'camera mans' point of view, someone who is logged in to fly around the server and POV's to hopefully give you the best view of the game. So you cannot spectate who you want when you want - but you will be watching the same thing that everyone else is - which has always added to the atmosphere of even the most boring games!

Last Group Games
Group A
United Kingdom vs. Germany
Maps were UK: Base, DE: Village. The game started on village and after a good start by Team UK where they fullheld Germany, they struggled to get the gold home until the final 15 seconds of the map after crumbs sneaked through short. The rest of the game seemed out of reach for the Germans who seemed happy enough with second place in the group. Demos can be found: HERE

Group B[/u]
Netherlands vs. Finland
Maps were NL: Frost, FI: Ice. A must win game for Finland and only 4-0 or 3-0 results would seal their top2 position in the group - they got off to the worst start possible as NL won the first round but credit to the fins they put up a good battle for the rest of the game and perhaps showed Germany some weak points in NL's armour. Hungary vs. Estonia
Maps were HU: Frost, EE: Ice. The early game of the game week saw Hungary take on Estonia which was always going to be an uphill striggle for Estonia, but they managed to take the first round of frostbite after both teams seemingly chose each others stronger maps. Hungary rescued the game though tieing it up 1-1 on Frost then taking home victory with a 2-0 win on Ice.

Italy were meant to play Belgium but unfortunately the Belgians decided they didn't want to play their last group game leading to a forfeit win for the Italians, luckily the result had no influence over the group as a whole as Germany and UK had already qualified.
