id Software talking to MLG, WCG, ESEA for 2011

On this past weekend's Live On Three #65, the last one of 2011, I confirmed that id Software is currently talking to Major League Gaming, the World Cyber Games, and ESEA regarding the inclusion of Quake Live in each of the respective leagues for 2011. After the communication breakdown at MLG Dallas, it is confirmed that talks have been initiated from both sides for North America's premier competitive gaming league. There is also much discussion on whether Quake Live fits MLG's business model for the next year, and if they need the game at all to begin with.

You can watch the whole show on Blip.tv, or on uStream if you're having tracking issues. The QL discuss starts at 48:20.

Live On Three is hosted by United States of America Marcus "djWHEAT" Graham, United States of America Rod "Slasher" Breslau and United States of America Scott "SirScoots" Smith.

Would like to note that although I don't know any details regarding ET or similar games joining these leagues, there is virtually zero chance of this happening besides the possible use of Quake Wars Online again in WCG.
Just get Quake Live at WCG and I will be happy :P
