Heaven Media, in association with Full Tilt Poker, are excited to announce the Rush Poker Challenge.
A couple of months ago we announced the Full Tilt Poker Challenge tournaments taking place on Esports Heaven, offering €6,000 in cash prizes for Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty 4, Team Fortress 2, Enemy Territory and Quake Live TDM. The first Quake Live games will take place in a few days time, with the other four tournaments opening signups over the coming weeks.
The Rush Poker Challenge is the second stage of Full Tilt Poker's involvement in esports. Over the next six weeks, sixteen of the biggest names in European esports will battle it out on the poker tables, all hoping to be crowned the Rush Poker Champion.
With well known faces from the top teams, commentators and journalists taking part, all with their eye on the prize, the Rush Poker Challenge will be fiercely contested, so your favourite contestants will need all the support you can give them.
Over the first four weeks, kicking off Monday January 31st, four gamers will go head to head. They will each receive $100 with which to play Rush Poker, and all will be aiming to make the most profit of that week's four players.
The fifth and final week will see the winners of the four previous weeks go head to head, competiting for the ultimate prize: a $1,000 cheque and the title of Rush Poker Champion.
Whatever your game, whatever your community, you're sure to find someone to support, so head over to the Rush Poker Challenge website now to read all about our first four players (Stuart 'TosspoT' Saw, Emil 'HeatoN' Christensen, Juha 'aNgeldusT' Kurppa and Stevy 'stevy' Verheyen), and check back each week for the new player announcements, as well as blogs, interviews and feature articles.
Head to the Rush Poker Challenge website for more information.
Available exclusively at Full Tilt Poker, Rush Poker is the ultimate high-speed poker experience. This revolutionary new poker format is designed to minimize your wait time between hands and keep you in the action at all times. Whether you're playing a Rush Poker ring game or a Rush Poker Tournament, you'll join a large player pool and face a different table of opponents every hand you play. When you fold your hand, you'll be rushed to a new table for the next hand immediately.
