IEM World Championships

Starting on the 1st March is the IEM World Championships in which players from all over the world will come to Hanover, Germany to compete in games such as Quake Live, Counterstrike 1.6, Starcraft 2 and League of Legends.With a Prize fund of $145,000 up for grabs im sure every player will be fighting for the 1st place meaning this tournament is sure to bring some fantastic games all around, you can follow the games from ESL TV in English, Russian, German, Polish and Portuguese, with casters such as Day[9] the coverage is sure the be spectacular

Match report
The first map of the IEM final, its important for these players as whoever wins will get a spot in the GSL Code S Up and Down Matches, the first map is Delta Quadrant, they spawn cross positions, Ace is going for a 3 gateway, blink stalkers, but Moon holds off this attack with 22 Speedlings giving himself a huge lead. Ace only has a small amount of gateway units then he transitions into 2 Stargate building phoenix only, in the meanwhile Moon expands to the 2 high yield bases building Hydralisks and Speedlings with a few Corrupters, Ace wants to engage but Moons army is just too strong and eats up Aces Gateway, Phoenix army and Ace calls GG, First map goes to Moon

set 2: FOXMoon <Lost Temple> ST|Ace

Match report
Ace does a forge fast expand but Moon is using a 1 base Nydus worm with speedlings, as the Nydus network goes down the crowd cheers making Ace very suspicious, he scouts his base and sees a Nydus worm popping up, he pulls all his probes and kills the Nydus before it gets up, another Nydus comes out and gets 3 speedlings out but gets killed before more speedlings can help, but Moon places one more Nydus worm up, Ace doesn’t scout it and pops up all of his speedlings, he sends them into his base but again Ace has a stargate up and gets a void-ray to kill them off, Moon builds some Hydralisks and tries to Nydus again but its not enough to take out Ace, Moon is on one base and decides to call the GG, Game 2 goes to Ace

set 3: FOXMoon <Blistering Sands> ST|Ace

Match report
Ace goes for a forge fast expand again but Moon is doing a very early 1 base Roach push, Ace gives up his main base as Moon kills his backdoor rocks, Ace gets a Stargate up and Ace gets a void-ray just in time, Ace holds off the first push but there is another huge force of Roaches into Aces base, Moon takes out his Cybonetics core where was Aces main is taken out by his zerglings. The push gets taken out and Ace takes his 2 void rays into Moons base, he’s lacking the anti air, he takes out one queen, then the other, Moon is trying all he can but its just not enough and he types out, game 3 goes to Ace

set 4: FOXMoon <Scrap Station> ST|Ace

Match report
Moon goes for a spawning pool first then hatchery where as Ace goes Nexus first, Ace goes 2 Stargates again where as Moon gets a quick evolution chamber and a very quick third base, Moon makes a huge swarm of hydras making Aces phoenix and void-rays useless, but a huge push of Ace however moon holds it off but having to pull drones, Ace is teching up to colossi and prepares for a huge 2 base timing attack, his army contains a lot of zealots and sentries, phoenix and colossi, however Moon can hold this off with his Hydralisks, Corrupters, Speedlings and Roaches, Moon on 4 bases, denying Aces third, Ace types out, game 4 goes to Moon

set 5: FOXMoon <Xel'Naga Caverns> ST|Ace

Match report
Moon goes for an early gas and spawning pool where as Ace goes for forge fast expand but as Moon scouts this he throws down a baneling nest, Ace scouts that Moon has no expansion and thinks something iffy is going on, he throws down another cannon and it gets up just in time for Moons baneling bust to arrive, Ace holds off this attack easily but Moon gets lucky with one very nice baneling, it goes into a very long macro game, Aces army of stalkers colossi and Moon with Hydralisks, Speedlings and Corrupters. Moon attacks Aces third base but Aces stalkers are all over on the other side of the map, Moon kills off Aces colossi but when Aces stalkers get there Moon loses his army to the blink stalkers, Ace goes for the counter attack but Moon sends in a lot of roaches into Aces bases, it looks like it will be a base trade but with newly warped in stalkers and a colossus Ace kills off half of the roaches as the other half retreats back, Ace kills off Moon third and fourth base, and then scouts Moons fifth base and kills that off, Moon on 2 bases after rebuilding his third, Ace and Moon collide in the middle of the map, Aces superior army of Stalkers, Colossi and sentries, killing off Moons tiny army, Ace in a huge lead and one last push causes Moon to GG, Ace wins the IEM World Championship.
