PHX Updates[/u]
11/05/2011: Initial Announcement
11/06/2011: Latest Update
11/07/2011: Signups open
18/07/2011: Payments Requested from teams
11/08/2011: Signups Close
10 & 11/09/2011: PHX-1 Starts
As you can see Payments will be requested from teams on Monday the 18th of July, each team that has signed up will have 7 days to make payment or there place will be offered to any teams who did not make it into the top twelve sign ups.
Along with the sign ups opening I am happy to bring you some small changes to the event, after speaking to many players and teams at SAGE the decision to change the currency from Pounds to Euros. Due to the conversion of currency the entry has risen, very slightly, by less than €4 per player, but the prize amount has increase by nearly €300.
Updated Event Details[/u]
Location: Crossfire LAN centre, Swansea, Wales
Date: 10th-11th September 2011
Format: 12 team 5on5 Enemy Territory competition (maximum)
Minimum games per team: 5
Signup: €300 per team
Prize pool: €2000 minimum (For 12 Teams)
BYOC: No
Also some people requested some Accommodation and Travel guides, I have made some small ones and they can be found on the crossfire sticky forum post and will hopefully be added to over time. One word of warning though to players travelling by train - booking early could save you nearly 90% in travel costs (over €100) please take this into account if you hope to attend.
Any questions can be directed to myself regarding the event in #PHX or via pm here on crossfire. Please note that I am not a travel or accommodation guru and have already provided as much as I can for those areas - thank you.

Prize pool: €2000 minimum (For 12 Teams)
120 euro per team? for 12th place?
point?
you aren't making one D:
Signup: €300 per team
Prize pool: €2000 minimum (For 12 Teams)
This means, for a team of 5 players to signup it costs €300 or €60 per player. The Prize pool if we get the hoped for 12 teams sign up will be €2000.

are you telling us that organizing the tourney takes 1600€?
no sponsors at all available?
organising the tourney hopefully will not be 1600, but most likely that and a little bit more.
ET does not get sponsors easily, I am trying :) we shall see what happens.
