Team WinFakt picks up Spart1e

Its with great excitement we welcome a new player into the WinFakt family, most of you will already know of him, Quakelive player Sebastian 'Spart1e' Siira.

Sebastian joins us after a short lived stay at the now closed Next Evolution ESC after he originally left his team of 2 years fnatic.MSI. Sebastian has had great success in quakelive over the years and will be attending the upcoming Quakecon competition which takes place next week in Texas/Dallas

We had the plans to enter the Quakelive scene’s quite a while, but never found a suitable player for Team WinFakt. Out of sudden Spart1e got released from Next Evolution. ESC as the organization collapsed which was a pretty good timing for us. Therefore we contacted Spart1e who seemed to be interested in the offer. We’re happy that we came to a agreement, and we’re happy that we have such a talented player onboard. We’d like to thank all our sponsors for their support and thrust in Team Winfakt.

Sebastian's will be at this years quakecon under the Team WinFakt tag.

well they came 2nd at the SAGE LAN a month ago beating eSuba @ LB final and losing to anexis @ grand final. i would say they're top in cod4 for sure, how can you compare across different games 8)

well from a mgc perspective getting Spartie can get you more than their cod4 team, just an opinion :)

that's called top division ;P obviously QL > CoD4 but they're still a top division team.

Still don't understand how Quake players can be of any use for an org. Nice for the player tho. Have fun at Quakecon.

quake draws way more attention than random console titles at MLG and ofcourse way more than ET on high level

Or you might be right. People only get reminded of SK Gaming when hearing rapha if they know the connection between the two (or if it's mentioned). The connection is usually implicit when talking about a team.

i have always wondered where all these sponsors come to sponsor teams who have never achieved any $$$ sending a player(s) to Quakecon is pretty expensive

it's like buying a taco for these multimillion companys, in return they get 100x $

they don't get much money from prizepots, they do it to gain interest and hits on there website, then they can make money from advertising.
