Europe Anexis had little to no trouble in steam-rolling Germany Lost Soldiers, though no-one will have been surprised by the final score. The game was over in under 30 minutes and an honorable mention must go out to multiple-time LAN winner and perhaps the most successful ET player of all-time -Estonia Night who finished with stats of 14-29. Maybe he will fare better next Thursday when he and the rest of his team face off against Russia disQonnect. As for Germany Lost Soldiers, they will have 3 days to squeeze in some much needed practice as they play Germany oxid in an all-German affair on Sunday.

Quote by Anexis.R0SSWell after a comfortable win against Lost Soldiers (gl to them in the rest of the tournament, nice guys!) I'm gonna throw my neck out and say we are faced with playing dQ (even though they haven't won yet). They have a nice blend of oldschool and newschool and are quite an underrated team. I still feel comfortable that we will win, so I will say 4-0 to us!

Quote by Lost Soldiers.LangoWent as we expected. HF Anexis with winning the cup!

In a surprisingly one-sided affair, Russia disQonnect breezed past their German opponents. Before the game Germany oxid brought attention to their recent lack of practice and it showed as Germany Kevji helped himself to an all-you-can-eat buffet of delicious German frags, clocking in over 10k damage across the two maps. Germany sNoOp was a shadow of the player he once was, despite it being his suited 6on6 format, as he could not rekindle the glory days which his compatriot Germany urtier did for his own team earlier in the evening. A sterner test awaits Russia dQ as they advance to play tournament favourites Europe Anexis next Thursday, while Germany oxid take a trip to the loser bracket and onto a game with fellow German's Germany Lost Soldiers on Sunday.

Quote by dQ.humm3lWell, we weren't that good today, but it was still good enough to beat oxid. It was an amazing attack on Bremen and a really solid first defence on Supply which brought us the victory. We are on a winning streak with 9 wins now, krässer sh!t or what? Next round we're facing Anexis which will be a top challenge.

>>> Clock set to: 6:39
>>> Objective NOT reached in time (6:39)

This tells you everything you need to know about the first map between the Estonian's and Poles. Based on the gbooky betting, many expected Estonia k1ck to win this contest quite easily, but sitting pretty in the role of the underdog, the little known team of Poland b2k edged their opponents in an incredibly tightly fought match. Even the second map, adlernest, the home map of Estonia k1ck was decided with less than 40 seconds on the clock. Despite the late addition of Estonia FREEZE (who topped the frags by some distance), the Estonian's were unable to swing luck in their favour and succumbed to the superior team-play of their victors. Poland b2k will face the highly seeded Benelux MouseControl next Thursday while Estonia k1ck have 3 days to pick themselves up from this narrow loss as they face France Epic on Sunday.

Quote by b2k.syriuszWhat can I say? Everything went just as we expected. We made few mistakes, so there is definitely a lot to improve, but it seems it was enough to win the match after really close battle. I find it a bit odd that people are so surprised about the result but we'll gladly face our next opponent as underdogs again :) Big thanks to k1ck for exciting match and everyone who cheered for us.

Benelux MouseControl took a forfeit victory over an France Epic side who failed to field 6 players after Germany violy had trouble returning home after an exam. The victors will play their first game against Poland b2k next Thursday and France Epic have 3 nights to gather 6 players for their loser bracket showdown with Estonia k1ck on Sunday.

Quote by mouseControl.saKenThe match was great, our showing up tactic worked marvelously. The enemy gave it their all but in the end MouseControl overcame the TERROR and took home the victory. Good luck in LB beAsty <3

Sweden NuggaN went to town on a Europe Glitz lineup featuring a few lesser known players as Europe Queens ran riot, ending their match in a little over 30 minutes. Boasting perhaps the hottest aim in Enemy Territory today, the Swede totaled almost 11k damage in a match where some players left having barely dished out 4k. Bremen was over so fast that there's really nothing else to say. Europe Glitz chose adlernest as their map and it showed as they managed to put some some resistance, managing to get their hands on the documents many times, only to have them snatched back every single time by the waiting jaws of Sweden Nuggan or United Kingdom razz. Europe Queens will he heavily favoured in their next winner bracket game as they will play against Czech Republic inteRaction next Thursday evening, and Europe Glitz will have a far more manageable task as they take on Europe Aero on Sunday.

Quote by queens.ClownWell for me this match was fun just because of the knife kill on adlernest - that situation tested my patience (which I lack). Otherwise, it was nothing special, I guess our opponent can do something in the lower bracket, and I wish them luck for it!

Czech Republic inteRaction made short work of their fortuitously highly seeded opponents, with a quick 4:0 victory on bremen_b3 & adlernest. It was a game to forget for Europe Aero, who after recently joining a new team would've been hoping for a victory to start BFB. Unfortunately it wasn't their day as a few mistakes cost them dearly, with Czech Republic denton, Czech Republic Green_Clon and Czech Republic milhAus profiting, each picking up over 40 frags in this game. Czech Republic inteRaction will have a much sterner test against Europe Queens next Thursday, while Europe Aero will have a good opportunity at progressing as they take on Europe Glitz on Sunday.

Quote by iR.Green_ClonAlthough our recent performances weren't as good as we wish they were, we are still team that has potential. We are praccing against best teams and doing well, so we expected this game not to be hard for us. Fortunately, everything went as good as we'd like to, and even though we did some minor mistakes, opponent wasn't able to take advantage of them.

Quote by Aero.mentalWell, the game was a bit unlucky for us, we made a few stupid mistakes which, combined with the server problems that a few of us had, allowed them to win easier than it should have been. We're still looking forward to the upcoming match in the Loser Bracket and we'll give our best to win it.

Europe TAG won the deciding map of supply to edge past Finland Turboapinat in an enthralling game that fully justified it's selection for a shoutcast. Both designated 'Player's to watch' performed exceptionally well, with walle topping the damage for the Fins (and by quite some distance), but the Dutch duo of Netherlands Lightning and Netherlands aphesia raked up insane damage to over-power their opponents in the later rounds. The first round was won only by a mere 10 seconds as the truck was rounding the bremen ruins only for the clock to expire. This left Europe TAG needing to win both rounds to progress and win both rounds they did! Everything seemed to be going the way of Finland turbo as they held their opponents for an eternity on radar, only to see the Allies secure the West radar parts with 30 seconds of the round remaining. In preventing the 3:0 loss right there, the momentum swung in the favour of Europe TAG who despite being quickly forced back to the last stage, hung on for dear life to drag the game to a decider. The Finn's won the toss and we ended with some classic supply 6on6 action. But picking supply against Europe TAG proved to be a fatal mistake as the combination of unrivalled experience and annoying spam was too much for Finland turbo to handle. Europe TAG won the map and with it took the 4:2 victory. They will go on to face a new look Europe G2P lineup next Thursday - which will be regarded as some as the closest to call match of the round - and the plucky Finland Turboapinat team will try their luck against Europe bSTURZ in a match they will be sure to be favourites in - that game comes to you here on Crossfire on Sunday evening.

Quote by TAG.twiditA was clearly the better team on bremen and deserved to win it, we still have a lot to work on that map. In radar's attack we also had our struggles, but managed to set a time and our defence worked out really well. I guess after radar defence we got the needed boost and supply went great for us. Overall it was a good game and tA was really close to winning on radar.

Europe G2P wrapped up a convincing 4:0 over Europe bSTURZ and will move into the next round of the Winner's bracket to set up a potentially great match against Europe TAG next Thursday. As for Europe bSTURZ, they'll be going up against arguably the toughest of the lower bracket opponents in the Finnish side Finland Turboapinat on Sunday.

Quote by g2p.krestiThe game vs bSTURZ was pretty easy as we expected, but they managed to grab the gold back a few times on goldrush and we just set at 10:41 as our time. Anyway we had some fun and we wish bSTURZ the best of luck, I think they can go well if they pracc more I'm sure they will claim a higher place. Our next match is against TAG and I feel confident that we will take it with 4:0 or 4:2. Lets hope it will be an enjoyable game!

Quote by bsturz.testiAlthough we lost 4-0 I think we stood our ground quite good. G2P is obviously 1 of the best teams around at this moment. And since we weren't raped I think we kinda showed that we might be capable of taking on turbot next Sunday. It's gonna be a tight match, and if walle isn't in shape we have a good chance of doing something good. If we are capable of winning 1 map, we might win.

Great work Baggiez and admins!

>>> Clock set to: 6:39
>>> Objective NOT reached in time (6:39)

?

If i need to make it in 6:39 and do it in exactly this time, why the hell i loose then?
if u do the same time, you win ( in rnd2, attact have like 1 more second to do it, and only console tell the truth )

but there, obj wasnt reached, and it just says again the time to beat, not the time that they set @ rnd2
Parent
the idea behind stopwatch is to BEAT the clock, if you set the same time, you don't beat it right?
Parent
but than it would be a draw (if they both set the same time)? Like a double fullhold? If Axis sets a fullhold and they attack and can't beat the time.. who will loose?
Parent
fullhold is special case, technically noone sets time there :)
