BFB Semi Finals! 1/2

Tonight is the first semi final in the winner bracket of the Battle For Berlin. The top four seeds have all made it to the final four with relative ease so tonight will be the first real test for the teams involved. The action is a little later than usual tonight as we see G2P vs. Queens @ 22.15 CET. Our very own TosspoT will be casting with QuadV, beginning 15 minutes before the game starts. Our other semi final is Anexis vs. MouseControl but due to some unavoidable problems for both sides this has been rescheduled for a later date. We hope to bring you this game on Monday 7th, pending confirmation.

Inside you'll find an overview of last Thursday and Sunday's games, predictions and statements from all the teams involved. It is our aim to have full match results online as soon as the action finishes so if you're too late to see the action live, Crossfire is your place to make sure you don't miss any full-time scores.

Up until now we've had map one as a forced map and the second map being the losers choice, however in tonight's games both teams can pick a map each, with the decider being selected via traditional elimination rules - with the winner of the coin-toss choosing which team eliminates first.

The winners of tonight's games will advance to the Winner Bracket Final, which will take place on Thursday 10th. The losers will drop down to the Loser Bracket Round 3 where:

"If radar is played then I would favour G2P. Supply/swgr I would favour Queens. So for me, it comes down to what maps are played. I think each side will win their home map and the decider, I don't know! I want queens to win, but I think G2P has far superior teamplay, 4:2 for them"

"I think it's going to be a really close game, g2p performed really well in their latest matches. On the other hand queens have a lineup mixed of amazing players. Still I'd say 4:2 for g2p"

"Queens will win their map, something simple like supply probably. G2P will also win their own map. Decider worth a watch."

"Well, not being able to watch any of the games hasn't helped but I reckon 4-2 for Queens. Too strong individually and even though g2p probably have some sick team play now, nuggan, kot and razz are just going to lay a bit too much smackdown and with clown leading them they should take it, should be a tight game either way though!"

"I predict a fairly easy 4-2 win for g2p. I haven't seen the queens prac much at all but they will still be able to sneak away 1 map. g2p seem to be very strong and I'm quite sure they'll make it to the final vs. Anexis"

"As far I know g2p has really nice teamplay and sick aimers, kResti for example. On the other side there are EC finalists such as miNd (hangover of course) and perfo. Queens got also sick aimers but I guess they lack some teamplay. This is going to be very tight battle and I guess that g2p will take it 4-2 with their great teamplay. Will definitely watch this after I roll some Czechs 21 CET in OC"

"Queens lineup seems to be better on paper, especially aim wise and maybe even on the experience side. However g2p always performed in pracs and showed some pretty decent teamplay for nowadays ET. It's a close call, definitely going into a decider and depending on the map it's a bit of a gamble. 4:2 g2p (If they make it on time!)"
