BFB LB Round 4

Tonight we have the 4th round of the Loser Bracket in the Battle For Berlin. disQonnect vs. Queens will be cast live by TosspoT @ QuadV. A link to the stream can be found here. The winners of tonight's games will meet in the 5th round of the Loser Bracket on Sunday 13th. The winner of that game will head to the Loser Bracket Final. The very next day on Monday 14th we will be bringing you a monster double-header as we will have the Winner Bracket Final directly followed by the Loser Bracket Final, all shown on ETTV and casted live by TosspoT & QuadV. humm3l and his band of merry men defeated the improving Polish team b2k in the previous round of the Loser Bracket to advance to Round 4, where they will meet a Queens team who lost at the hands of the tournament's most impressive team thus far: G2P. Their star aimer NuggaN was feeling ill on the night and was unable to play and despite his stand in ( phyzic) performing exceptionally well in the circumstances, you'd feel that a lot of their future success will depend on the status of the Swede.

Players to watch:

Kevji from dQ - Their rifle has consistently topped the damage and has continually impressed in the recent rounds. He has put himself in a position where the other team must be weary of the threat his poses, a position that is only occupied by a select few rifles in ET these days.

perfo from Queens - In a day and age of Enemy Territory that is dominated by aimers, perfo is the player that every team desperately needs. Able to take on anyone in a 1v1, but more importantly he is capable of playing a multitude of rolls - reviving medic, rambo medic, 3rd engi. By prioritising the success of his team over the success of his individual score, he is integral to the success of Queens.

Since their first round shock loss to b2k, k1ck have had no problem advancing through the Loser Bracket, most recently beating oxid convincingly 4:0. They will meet stern opposition for perhaps the first time as they take on a MouseControl side who will be desperate to overturn the terrible fate they suffered in their 4:2 loss to number 1 seed Anexis. This game could go either way as I think that an in-form MouseControl side will have too much for the Estonian's, but if they are still feeling sorry for themselves or if they underestimate subbi & co. then they could be in for a huge surprise.

Players to watch:

joshua from MouseControl - The best player on the server when they lost 4:2 to Anexis. An outstanding display of medic work, aim and objective focused attacking from the Dutchman and he was incredibly unlucky to wind up on the losing side. If his team find themselves in a pinch then look to joshua to get the revives and keep them moving forward.

mant from k1ck - The Estonian's rifle landed multifrag after multifrag in their recent game against oxid and made it look easy. If he has a good game tonight then I can see it being a more than tricky game for his opponents. A good rifle has the ability to destroy team pushes with it's splash damage and with so much of MouseControl's success coming from attacking in a co-ordinated fashion, I can see his role being highly important if k1ck are to stand a chance.


Up until now we've had map one as a forced map and the second map being the losers choice, tonight's games will be forced with sw_goldrush_te, with the decider being selected via traditional elimination rules - with the winner of the coin-toss choosing which team eliminates first.
