Tonight we have an epic double-header in the Battle For Berlin, with the Winner Bracket Final followed by the Loser Bracket Final - both games being covered here on Crossfire.nu and being shoutcast live by TosspoT.

Anexis vs. G2P starts at the slightly earlier time of 20.30 CET. The winner of the WB final will advance to the Grand Final - for which the date has not yet been decided. The loser of tonight's game will drop to the Loser Bracket Final to play against Queens. This game will also be played tonight and will start after the WB final has been played. Depending on how long the WB final takes, the LB final will hopefully start between 21.30-22.00 CET. The loser of the LB final will be out of the competition and will finish in place.

Our first match tonight will be the WB Final between the top 2 seeds in the Battle For Berlin. In the semi-finals, Anexis survived a scare against MouseControl, as they snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with a 0.1 second objective cap on radar thanks to heroics from XyLoS & sqzz. They needed to buck up their ideas for the deciding map and we saw the dominant performance on bremen that Anexis needed. The number 1 seeds faced their first challenge in that semi-final and they left the audience with more questions than answers. Their attacks were uncoordinated and their defence was unorganised - yet it was enough, somehow, to get here. So much is expected of this line-up and tonight they will face a G2P team more than capable of victory. They have a perfect balance in their side, with the German duo of Bl4d3 & kReSti bringing the aim, griim & sTOWNAGE (perhaps the star player of the semi final against Queens) holding the attacks together and the two Belgian players: engi/fops Chry and rifle Jere competing with each-other for Player of the Tournament thus far. I they lose against Anexis in the WB Final then we'll be set for a repeat of their semi final against Queens - a game in which they had little trouble in first time round. Their only round loss was a forfeit round dropped against TAG and so they are the only team left in the competition yet to lose a round (in open play).

Players to watch:

mAus from Anexis - The best aimer of the last 4 years rightfully takes his spot as the most watched player in Enemy Territory, and tonight should be no different. There's not much to be said about him that hasn't already been said, so we'll leave it there.

Jere from G2P - I'm going for a Belgian double as Jere has been one of the stand-out performers of the tournament. He was absolutely on fire against TAG and hasn't had a bad round yet. Look for him to have a big game tonight.

I think G2P will beat Anexis 4:0 in a dominant performance. I think that despite the talent on the Anexis team, they've been taking the tournament too lightly and will be shocked by the teamplay, organisation and quality of G2P. I think Anexis vs. Queens will be a very close game with Anexis edging the win 4:2.

Anexis vs. G2P should be one exciting game to watch. Based on pracs versus both teams I would go for 4-2 Anexis, g2p doing anything for a win and picking up missile but it's not going to be enough. And for our game: as I think we end up playing g2p, I'd say 4-2 for us.

g2p is going to win the first match versus Anexis with 4-2 and they are probably going to take missile, what is lovely in my opinion. Hopefully we will also see radar as decider in this match. The Loser bracket final will be a lost game for Queens no matter who they play. They are a strong team but Anexis and g2p are both a little be stronger. The final is going to be 8-4 for Anexis. Since they haven't reached their full potential yet the will lose WB final but after that they will (hopefully) prac hard and win the tournament like everyone expect them to do.

On paper? 4:0 Anexis, easily. However this will be probably the other way around. Anexis have been struggling in the tournament almost losing to MouseControl and they haven't really been that stable in other matches as well. On the other side you got a g2p side that is currently rolling the ET scene with impressive teamplay and dedication.4:0 g2p, sorry Vaiko! So if that is happening it will be Anexis vs. Queens. Two allstar lineups without any real practise as it seems. Night vs Clown once again but with two totally different teams to back them up. Depending who drank more of his secret medicine, it will be either mAus or NuggaN to decide this game as I doubt there is any serious teamplay being offered. 4:2 Anexis, if I had to chose!

I hope g2p will be able to defeat the mighty Anexis team, they got several players who can all make the difference with a single act. But I hope overall their teamplay & fragging will be better so chry/jere & co will win. If not, queens will have to go down again!

4-0 for g2p in the first match since Anexis isn't playing at all. g2p is pracing alot and are doing alot better so far. Anexis versus Queens will be 4-2 for Anexis, queens is good on paper but they aint doing as good as many tought

The game vs anexis will be a great one to follow. We'll both win our map & they gonna win the decider => 4-2 anexis. Later on we'll beat queens with 4-0 or 4-2. GL HF to all players & HF everyone speccing =)

I predict 4-2 for Anexis, g2p pracs alot but I place my bets on Anexis' strong lineup and experience.

It will be a close match. Both have great players in their team. Anexis showed to us that they are beatable. I still think the team of the British hummel will win with 4-0. But it won't be an easy fight for Anexis.

Tonight's games, and for the remainder of the tournament, each team will pick a map with the decider being selected via traditional elimination rules - with the winner of the coin-toss choosing which team eliminates first. To repeat - there are no forced maps any-more.
