IPL4 SC2 Finals

And there they were, after 3 days of sick games, Chants for USA and LAN, Pretty hosts and lots of gambling the dust settled and these two outsiders reached the finals.
It was not Nestea, not MarineKing nor Stephano who were going to fight for the $40.000 grand prize. Neither MC or Polt who many considered title contenders, but aLive and squirtle
two of the lesser known koreans, eventho both are in Code S. With aLive playing for fnatic there was still a little hint from the foreigner scene in the finals after pretty much noone but Stephano looked to be able to combat the Korean dominance.

But the lack of fanbase didn't seem to stop either of these two players. aLive who only lost to NesTea in the groupstages really put on his try hard mode once he was in the Winners Bracket.
Defeating Polt, MarineKing and even getting his revenge on NesTea before reaching the finals. Looking at that run you can't say he did not deserve his spot in the Grand Finals and we can say the same about his opponent there.
squirtle who fought his way all up from the open bracket, trough the group stage to the Winner's bracket where he lost his first game against NesTea inmediately dropping to the Loser's bracket. Meaning that if he could actually reach the final he would have to play two BestOf3's to take it all.
And reaching the final he did. after Beating Bomber, MarineKing, MMA and also revenging NesTea he reached the final stage in one of the most impressive tournament runs so far.

Seeing both players playing very impressive the whole tournament not a lot of people had doubts that this wouldn't be a very entertaining finals.
Definately not when you know that squirtle his PvT is stellar and that aLive's TvP isn't to shabby either (73% Winrate) we would be in for a very exciting pair of games.
Still squirtle had two win 2! BestOf5's to call him self the IPL4 Champion.

But it started to look darker and darker for the Protoss, aLive quickly took a 2-0 lead, but then finally squirtle started to wake up and fight back, tho it took very very long. aLive almost had Game3 won too, but some insane micro and an impressive hold ment squirtle was still in the series, starting to close the gap.
He took Game3, Game4 and even Game5 to make the crowd starting to believe in the impossible, squirtle had taken the first BestOf5! The crowd was loving it.
After that aLive held strong tho and opened the last BO5 with a tightly executed cheese taking again the lead in the series and not giving it away anymore taking the last two games and seizing the IPL throphy and the $40,00 cheque!
