Top 3 or not Top 3, That is the Question...

Sundays clash between Europe mPG and Finland Finlantic6 will decide who makes it into a top 3 position, guaranteeing themselves some prizes, and who falls at the final hurdle. The winner will face Germany Anexis eSports in the lower bracket final for the chance to face Europe Queens in the Grand Final.

Finland Finlantic6 got to this stage after beating Belgium Belgian Fraternity in the last round with a 4:0 scoreline, although bF put up a good fight it wasnt enough to stop the Finns. Europe mPG beat a struggling Europe TAG lineup 4:2 in a game that was closer then most would have thought given the circumstances as TAG lost one of their key players, United Kingdom griim.

Both lineups boast great experience and ability and we should see some exceptional actions and moments throughout the game. The Finnish team perhaps have the edge in terms of team play and activity right now but mPG cannot be underestimated with such a talented lineup. The game will start at 22:00CET Sunday night, and this is what each team had to say about the game:

QuoteI think we can beat fin6 if we play the way we have been expecting to play for a while. The tournament will not be a failure if we don't win, but obviously, we would want to place as high as possible.

QuoteWe have been the more active team recently and improved a lot so I'm expecting us to win the game if we play on our own level. mPG consists of great individuals though so we are by no means going to underestimate them and it definitely won't be an easy game for us. Losing this game and finishing 4th would be a disappointment for us as our goals were set for atleast a top3 finish.

Also thanks to France Mamouth for the server support!

Nice work as always Merlin!

My money is on mPG because of LatviaClown.
My money is on the Finns. Hope they will take this victory down & they can continue battling for the Final vs Anexis. In our game vs them I dont think we played bad but they outclassed us on almost every aspect of this game. gl fins x
There is no possiblity that the Final will be Anexis vs Fin6 only the lowerbracket final can have that outcome.
Parent
they will battle vs Anexis to get into the final..
Parent
server support? wtf
lack of servers to run those matches
Parent
wtf so many low games on GTV that no servers for BFB? bullshit -.-
Parent
GTV has a first come first served policy, which is why all the servers are reserved and we're having trouble finding a suitable server for this game :)
Parent
still I think that on days like sundays there should be limit on 0 stars/3on3 games since they take up servers and get what, 4-5 viewers? less viewers than players=WASTE

really sad that bitches need attention/server to play on :/
Parent
Yeah, I don't really get why all those games are being accepted at times when there's huge amount of games going on. Obviously it's great that everyone has the possibility to get ETTV coverage for their games, but that shouldn't be done at the cost of top games. Like you said some of the games are only going to have a handful of viewers, who are most likely friends with the players playing the game, so they could as well be watching the game live on the game server.
Parent
I don't think that 3on3 games should be completely removed, but some restrictions would be great during the time important 6on6 officials are being played.
Parent
read comments from fanatic+Msh100

best idea would be for 3on3 games between 19-23 on sundays to use their own gameservers
Parent
I would rather see this to be linked rather with league/stars, not just to format or time frame. EC+lans+major tournaments and/or games with 2+ stars will have the privilege of getting some of those gtv servers. In case there are some free servers at the time of start of less important games, they might get one as well otherwise they will need to provide one themselves.
Parent
league link is a nice start, for stars it's bit harder since with code and system atm you don't know stars till you request the game+it might change from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 2 before the game starts, it would lead to too many deletes so GTV won't go with it
Parent
fortunately LANs will not (can't) use gtv servers, so no chance of there not being enough :)
Parent
It was just a quick sugestion, wasnt really going too deep into that thought and lans came to my mind as first major tournaments besides with ec+ems.
But let me remind you of infamous polish "lan", which half was actually held online :D
Parent
which one was played online? afaik last E-Series lan was played like that :D
Parent
yep was a big hoax
Parent
Sorry to disapoint you but there's a bunch of players who doesn't give a crap with your selfcalled "important games". I'd rather watch my friends play in a random 3o3 lowerdivision game than speccing the more known players in THEIR important games while you in fact never even spoke to them.
These games are followed by the community because you're part of a more skilled community that shows them how to play the game in a more "professional" way. But that doesn't make your games more worthy than others.
Parent
Top teams (both 3on3 and 6on6) should be able to get their own match servers. The GTV match servers, provided mostly by the people who are part of the community, are there for everyone to use. I'd understand if the servers were provided by GTV itself, then they could restrict the use of specific servers.

Make me proud mAus
