Adroits ET Masters – Groups, Format & Schedule

With the seeding tournament now over, the seeds have been finalised and the groups have been created. With only 13 teams attending, it made the traditional group system a little awkward, so we’ve come up with an interesting way to make this work. We’re confident this format is the best possible outcome given the restrictions with time and resources, we hope you agree!

The Format[/b]]We’ll have 3 groups; 2 groups with 4 teams, 1 group with 5 teams. The top 2 in each group of 4 teams will go through to the double-elimination playoff bracket, whereas the group with 5 teams will see the top 3 go through. So who fills the 8th playoff spot, you ask? The teams who place 3rd in the other 2 groups will go head-to-head in their own mini playoff where the winner will be awarded that 8th spot in the playoff bracket. The map picking format will be the same as it was in the seeding tournament, as well as the fixed maps.

The WZZRD doors will open shortly after 09:00 CEST on both Saturday & Sunday and the games are scheduled to start as soon as possible after that. In order to make sure we stick to our schedule, please make sure you set up quickly.

In the event of us going ahead of schedule, your originally scheduled match time may be brought forward. Please keep that in mind if you plan on leaving the venue or only plan to arrive right before the original match time.

Uhm, didnt you promiss to make a tournament where all of the teams advance to the next round? cba to look that first post up.
I can see that two teams will have a max. of 3 matches while one team will have 4 matches at max.
No consolidation tournament?

That was based on 16 teams with 4 groups of 4 (less group games and changes = more time for other games). Top 2 from each group would've made it into the winner bracket with top 2 from each group going into the loser bracket. This would result in a min. of 4 matches for everybody.

If that is possible it would be more than fair.
Maybe it could be possible to shoot out the lower placements, so it aint place 9-13 but every team would get an exact placement.

Keep up the nice work, sorry for my "harsh" words in my first posts but I always thought that we would get more games and felt a little betrayed when reading three to four games at max.
