Adroits FIFA 13 Tournament

After our announcement yesterday, where we stated that FIFA ‘12 will be changed for FIFA ‘13, we now want to update everyone on our tournament schedule, rule changes and the tournament in general.
From October 19th to 21st we from Adroits are hosting an other offline event in Enschede, Netherlands.
Beside Enemy Territory and QuakeLive on the computer, Adroits will be hosting their first console tournament, namely FIFA ‘13 on Sony’s Playstation 3.
For this tournament we promise 32 spots which will be given to the first 32 people paying, if we can see a significant interest in more slots, there might be a rise but for now, 32 players are the limit.

After getting some feedback from different players out of the FIFA-scene, we decided to do some minor changes in the ruleset and the schedule.
Change one is the match time, which has been changed for the group stage and the playoffs, from four minutes per half, we decided to rise the time to six minutes per half.
The second change directly results from the first change, to be able to rise the time, we will have to force a tight schedule. This means that no delays will be tolerated, set-up-times will stay the same, forcing a delay will be punished harder.
If participants are not able to play at their scheduled time due to participating in another tournament or other reasons, please contact a tournament admin as soon as possible, we will try to sort everything out without forcing delays.
Notice that there might be the possibility that you will have to choose between playing in one tournament and forfeiting in an other one.

As for our schedule, we frequently have been asked about dates and times.
After doing some maths, we came to the conclusion that we can run the tournament in two days, Saturday and Sunday (October 20th and 21st). This reduces the costs for most participants for their accommodation and allows most players to participate without taking a day off which isn’t the case for the other tournaments.
This schedule comes at the price of our strict “no-delay”-rule.

The tournament itself will be a Single Elimination but we hope to be able to hold a little consolidation cup on both, Saturday and Sunday with some nice hardware prizes (Nothing granted for now!)
