After winning the Danish eXperience Lan it appears that some major names have taken an interest in the promising Aeon.eSports side and they have now merged with Copenhagen-Esports.
This moves might come as a surprise to many after the team lost juL and Frijec played at the EuroCup Lan for rivals Tek-9 but it appears Aeon have come through this difficult patch and reforged a new, very promising lineup. The addition of Qwerty from Digntias was an inspired pickup and although Maxxur has left for pastures new, xerno easily replaces him.
Johan Lundberg, aka Flow, made the following statement:
"We have been looking to become a part of something bigger for a long time now, but until now we couldnt find a organisation that shares our view and interests. Copenhagen esports is a great upcoming organisation with one of the best, if not the best battlefield 2 team in europe, so hopefully we can gain that reputation in COD2. Showing professional behaviour in every way, and also going 100% into every project they launch, I can only say that we're thrilled to finally be part of them.
The Wonderbase event will be the first time for you to see our 2 teams united as one front, competing in Battlefield 2 and Call of duty 2. Taking place in little over 3 weeks, both teams will be practicing hard to live up to their reputations.
It is also time for us to announce our final lineup, since jul was cut from our team after the-experience and later maxxur decided to take a break from call of duty 2. We are parting ways with maxxur as friends and we are all happy about our time with him in aeon-esports.
The first one to announce is Erik "xerno" Robertsson from Sweden, joining us after being without a team for a while and a after playing with us for a long time we were certain that he was the right one for us. At first he was meant to be our sniper, but we soon found out he was perfectly capable of handling other class' aswell. From now on Johan "flow" Lundberg is once again our full time sniper when its needed and Erik "xerno" Robertsson will assist the team in every way he can.
Our second pick is fresh on the market, coming straight from the UK only team dignitas. We didnt hesitate a second to confront Ralph "qwertYYY" Balder about being a part of our team. Showing such extraordinary skill at the Eurocup lan aswell as online, there was no doubt at all about picking up this player for our lineup. Hopefully Ralph can live up to what he have shown previously, and we are quite sure he got loads of stuff to prove at Wonderbase."
Team Lineup:
Johan "flow" Lundberg
Erik "xerno" Robertsson
Kenneth "fRiJeC" Jensen
Jan "Sticky" Crayenest
Ralph "qwertYYY" Balder
