After three matchweeks, the Groupstage of the ClanBase ET NationsCup XVI has come to an end. It's now time for the Playoffs!
Congratulations to each and every nation that has managed to make it to the Playoffs, and to those who are leaving us: thanks for participating and see you in the next NC season!
The top two nations from each group have advanced to the Playoffs and will compete with each other double elimination style.
The first round of the Playoffs - Upper Bracket Round 1 - will go as follows:
Please schedule your matches as soon as possible via the Roster. The first matchweek starts today (although it "officially" starts next Sunday, according to the schedule below) and will end on Sunday 10th.
Captains: Remember to idle in the private IRC channel for this NC - #ETNCXVI - ask an admin on IRC for the password.

General Information
- All games must be scheduled before the deadline. On the Thursday of each matchweek, unscheduled matches will be forced to the last proposal or to the deadline.
- No wildcards are allowed in the Playoffs, even if you never used your wildcard during the Groupstage.
- Maps are not forced - each team may pick a map from the maplist. However, teams are forbidden to choose the same map previously selected in their two most recent playoff games.

On a side note, NC was announced like 2 months ago and for teams like us the cup takes toooooo long. we were formed and somehow motivated on January, now we're tired of waiting for proper games, which will start in 2 weeks I guess :P
(a good excuse for us to lose in 2nd round lol :D)
and i'm not sure but looks like you've changed upper bracket formula in this week :P
What exactly did we do wrong? The point is for nations who were in the same group in the Groupstage to be on different sides of the brackets in the Playoffs.
It means that teams that play against each other in 1st round of WB could play again in 2nd round of LB.
that means LB will be more predictable and boring and some teams just have no chances to play against each other before LB/WB final.

I played ET all these years because I enjoyed it, so long as there are opponents I'll continue to play 8)
if you focus your energy on a different game, you might advance there.
there is no other decent "new" FPS to move to either so ET/RtCW is the only one I'm interested in atm ;-)
i honored the game by quitting it, because we must move on.
when ppl keep playing it, its only delaying the inevitabile
ET doesn't die until people stop playing, there's like 350 3on3 offis on the CB ladder in the last 30 days and warchannels are active enough too ;o what more do you want
I guess you approach gaming differently and therefore become stuck at home all the time if you feel like playing X game(s).
