CF ET Cup Spring - Week 2!

CF ET Cup for Spring 2013 is fully under way and with a total of three intense games scheduled for tonight I am sure every Enemy Territory fan can find something great to spec.

Let's face the facts. Since the last newspost we have seen a surprisingly good Belgian Fraternity side taking home a stupendous win against Eastern Europe Style. This brings us a nice winner bracket matchup between Belgian Fraternity and tMoe and a make-or-brake game for Eastern Europe Style and Effectus. The other known quarter final is Team Rockit vs. Turbot. But that are dreams of the future.

Tonight we will have a rescheduled first round game between Unbreakable Gaming and a.ToOn. They already had the pleasure to fight against each other in a 3v3 CB match last week and with a close 3:1 victory for a.ToOn it seems the luck is on their shoulders. But as we all know fortune is fickle! And although sebi and co have just lost their EuroCup qualifier I am sure they will try their best do show that they can keep up with one of the current EC team.

Despite the lineup issues aToon has been going through the past weeks, replacing and stabbing players on an almost weekly basis, they should have no problems taking the 4-0 victory over Unbreakable Gaming. Surprised to see who aToon's 6th will be, rumours say it'll be either stexx or Metsuri, in any case though, the outcome shouldn't differ all too much. Unbreakable Gaming has a few notable names, though individually they're the far inferior team, but who knows, they might just surprise.

The second first Division game is the lower bracket round between erAse and Disposable. The last mentioned team is more or less the current Team Sweden and with their big win against one of the top contenders for the final (Germany) the core around Nuggan, jONAS, tornis and slajdan were able to not just surprise but also giving some impressive amount of GamesTV.org money to some lucky viewers. Nevertheless it is a new day and a new challenge!

Both teams are playing good atm, Dispo pretty much being Team Sweden. I think both teams will put up a good display. Personally I find this hard to call but I would say 4-2 either way, whatever the result it will be a good and close game.

Basic Rules
Each round the games must be played within the schedule, First round (WB R1) games are to be played by the 18th April 2013, the games will be put on GamesTV on a random weeknight between the on one of the dates in that round, it is up to the teams to contact an admin with an AGREED date and time in that period - if a date cannot be agreed, the match will be forced, not necessarily to the date originally put on GamesTV. We suggest you try your best to organise games.

Maps and Choices
Maplist: Supply, Goldrush, Radar, Adlernest, Bremen and Frostbite.
Maps are picked via elimination, each team eliminates 2 maps each and the remaining 2 maps are played. Who eliminates first or second is chosen via coin toss, whoever WINS the coin toss eliminates SECOND. If a decider map is needed another coin toss vote is called and this time whoever WINS the coin toss eliminates FIRST, then the maps are eliminated one by one until there is 1 map left.

Merc Rules
One merc is allowed to be used, although your opponent must agree on the individual proposed - teams are expected to use mercs with around the same skill as the player replaced. You must inform an admin and opponent if you need to use a merc, not making it known may result in a forfeit loss. You may only use any individual as a merc ONCE, but can use a different merc in more than one game if needed.

Extras
Standard ET rules apply, no bugging, exploiting or cheating. Admin decisions are final - to save yourself stress do not get into situations that could be seen as unfair play. If you have any queries about organising games or questions about the cup in general, please contact an admin.
