Enemy Territory Sign Ups Open!
Firstly the Enemy Territory tournament sign ups are now open, please check the links below. We also have proposed schedules for all three tournaments we are going to run between now and the start of June. The aim is to have all tournaments completed BEFORE the World Cup starts (June the 12th), games will be forced if needed as delays will not be accomodated.
Enemy Territory
We will be using CyberGamer for this (and potentially any future) 6on6 ET tournament so that the anti cheat, CGAC, can be used for all games. This is the first run of the tournament on CG so we will be learning as we go - please use the link below to sign up, please remember that your team must be competing in CyberGamer ET EU Season 1, which you have 24hours left to sign up for.
To sign up please message me with a link to your team on Cybergamer
We will be using the same relaxed schedule that we used in last Winters edition of the tournament providing two weeks for each upper bracket game and one week for lower bracket games. Schedule can be viewed here: CF ET, Spring 2014 Schedule
Basic Schedule
2nd March, Sign Ups Open: Tournament Page
16th March, Sign Ups Close
23rd March, First Round begins
11th May, Tournament Ends
CS:GO
This tournament will start in mid April (13th/20th) so that there is not too much going on at the same time. As stated before this tournament is aimed at community fun, not a stomp for a CS:GO team - if you play for a CS:GO team I am sure there are plenty of tournaments out there for you. We will be deciding how the tournament will happen in the coming weeks but it will most likely be a draft of some sorts, aiming for 4-8 (hopefully 8) teams, with a double elimination bracket. The tournament would last around 4-5 weeks and will happen in the 'slow' period in the RTCW 3on3 league to give WarwitchTV a better chance of broadcasting the games. This tournament schedule has been changed, news will follow.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
The start week for this tournament has been decided as the week beginning 30th of March which should give the current overdue 6on6 tournament a chance to finish. The tournament will be, as mentioned previously, a league format and will roughly follow the LCS system with it starting and ending with 'Super Weeks' where each team will have to play more games - We are aiming for 8 teams with each teams playing each other twice, the tournament will last 10 weeks (completed by 8th June) . Games will take place primarily Monday to Thursday, if this is not viable for you then please do not sign up. This tournament schedule has been changed, news will follow.
We will be looking at player restrictions/settings over the next week or so and hopefully announce a config we hope to use for people to take a look at. We have some big ideas for this and we will get a lot of the info up over at www.RTCWCUP.com with the help of malmen.
edit: ok for now just message link to your team on CG, I think I can add you manually.
The rule that the cup is only for cf users is fine and this rule makes sure that u wont have any team who are playing as a team in csgo! to play with their own mates and have some better and easier communication makes the whole thing more funny (imo)
still im respecting your effort but im pretty sure that the normal draft format (we all are used to) wont work for csgo (at crossfire)
well, mark my words! i rly would like if it would work out, but with 8 draft teams over like 6 weeks or so it can't work out and u know this!
individual diehards isn't a problem. especially in a draft. :D everyone tries their hardest as an individual, but what's the point in allowing a couple teams who've been practicing for over a year now to dominate a bunch of people who are only playing for a few months?
;d
There are teams that can't quite make it to the CG league due to scheduling issues, but would otherwise be fine to play the CF cup. I don't quite see the reasoning behind the need for this specific ruling, this isn't 2006 anymore, there wont be 20 new teams popping up within a week, with newly formed line ups, there's no prize money at stake that would imply the one or other "super" mix... Feels rather silly to be banished from a "community" tournament for not being able to, or willing to, participate in some other organizations' tournament.
the community Need a Motivation...
talk to ZeD - afaik he's planning some sort of rtcw cup following the alliance cup.
im looking forward to this.
btw: Long time ago that i saw you ingame. WHERE THE F*CK ARE YOU :O
I have to manually add you at the moment, so please message me if you team wishes to compete with a link to your teams profile and I will add you to the shortlist :)
