RTCW QuakeCon @ Home sign-ups open

QuakeCon has afforded us the opportunity to run a Return to Castle Wolfenstein 6v6 event with the finals broadcast on main QuakeCon stream. Due to the global pandemic, QuakeCon this year is an at home event.


Event: QuakeCon @ Home 6v6 RTCW
Date: Aug. 7th - 9th
Sign-up goal: 8 Teams per region (EU and NA)


-Separate tournaments for European and North American based teams.
-Group stage seeds a single elimination bracket.
-Skill based divisions (open and invite)

Sign-ups close: 7/26/2020

-Go to https://www.rtcw.live/
-Click register at top of page
-Select your region and proceed through Challonge ticket system
-Captain registers team
-Minimum of 3 players required to register a team
-Minimum of 6 players on a roster by close of signups
-Maximum of 8 players on roster
-Teams can have a maximum of 2 non-region players

8 PM EST: Group Stage Game 1
9 PM EST: Group Stage Game 2

SAT AUG. 8
7 PM EST: Group Stage Game 3
8 PM EST: Brackets Rd 1 (Quarter Finals)
9 PM EST: Brackets Rd 2 (Semi Finals)

TBA: Finals


FRI Aug 7th

20:30 CET: Check-in
21:00 CET: Group Stage Round 1
22:30 CET: Group Stage Round 2

SAT Aug 8th

19:00 CET: Check-in

Currently the tickets are capped to 16 teams per region, with 8/8 split between the two divisions. If we reach that goal we may cap it or have further discussions on format then.

How easy/hard is it to go from ET to RTCW? Also does RTCW sniper kill with 1 headshot? Asking for my friend's cat.

I think it's a lot easier to go from ET to RTCW than the other way around. It took a long time for me, but I'm slow at adapting, other people seem to get to a respectable level (compared to their ET level) in about 20 hours give or take.

Snipers kill with 1 headshot, but sniping is a bit different in RTCW, more recoil and slower animations.

it was actually pretty much easy for me, going from RtCW to ET.
RtCW has a higher overall pace. but shouldn't take much time to be able to hit properly. everything else will take its time, though :)

everyone has his own matter of opinion. :)

That is the Bethesda schedule - The House Party Schedule will be released soon, and that has RTCW on it and other tournaments!
