Wolfcam Update Available

Many months ago I posted a journal regarding Wolfcam for my upcoming movie GoodGame, I was lucky enough to be contacted by Sebastian "elf" Jedruszkiewicz who had been modifying Wolfcam for his own movie and he let me use his changes. Upon request he coded some more changes into the program and with it gave Wolfcam far greater functionality and compatibility with the ETPro cvars.

You can download the modified changes Here by simply replacing the files in this rar with those in your current Wolfcam folder, you may wish to backup the originals.

Changelog from the Coder:

seta cg_useConsoleFontsForPopups "0"
uses console characters to display popup messages. 0 for default
etmain/etpro behaviour, 1 - the new one.

seta cg_drawShadowedPopups "0"
uses shadows for popup messages.

seta cg_popupTime "0"
same as b_popuptime

seta cg_drawKilledYouMsg "0"
wolfcam displays message on bottom of screen when someone kills you.
(You were killed by xxx)this one disables this feature.

seta cg_drawFollowing "0"
if you use /follow command, wolfcam displays message on top of screen.
0 if you want to disable it.

seta cg_drawPopupIcons "0"
disables those small icons on the left of popup messages (skull and !
and others).

seta cg_drawHUD "0"
This disables whole hud. note, that you will still have lagometer/compas/fireteam/chat messages visible, but those can be disabled using etmain cvars.

I have enabled /camera, so you can use scripted cameras the same way
as in etpro.

Last, but not least, I got hitsound somehow working (not perfect, as the new etpro uses different hitboxes, so you dont get accurate hitsounds).
Note, that wolfcam do not displays flares when watching etpro demos, but I could not find reason for that.

Is it possible to add lean annimations? All the other new features are nice to, but the biggest 'flaw' in the original wolfcam was that lean animations werent animated so it looked like everybody was wallhacking :D
When you lean, it doesn't tell the other clients/server that you are leaning.

There is no way that you can see if they were leaning or not unless you have their demo.

timescale command is an et command so its not a mod thingy imo

ehm, too bad it doesn't work for me, if I launch the game with et +set fs_game wolfcam_et and I try to view an etpro demo I receive an error that says there is a game mismatch (etmain/etpro), when I look inside the wolfcam-et directory after closing et I find out that cgame.mp.i386.so has been replaced :(

i remember having the same problem, though i dont really remember what was the solution

try "chmod -w cgame.mp.i386.so"

oh yeah I fixed it, the solution is to create the wolfcam-et directory in the base et installation ( /usr/local/games/enemy-territory for example, not ~/.etwolf), and copy the cgame in it (make sure only root has write access to that dir)

this person has done an excellent work on his mod.

you can go back and forth using your mouse n stuff.

only problem is, this is for q3 only,there is no version
for et or any other q3 engine based game, yet.

but maybe this coder Elf can port it to et :) ..

Without the ET-Engine-Source released, I doubt anyone can.
