King TosspoT!

Your beloved shoutcaster and ET-guru will be in charge of all things xfire.be from now on. At the same time I kind of say goodbye to you all. It's been a pleasure creating and moderating this project for the past 4 years.

I'm sure Stu will take things a few steps higher.

Xfire.be is back

Our beloved domain name www.xfire.be is back! Turns out I misspelled a letter on my billing description. No reactivation costs, no wait. Just update your bookmarks again and remove the line you added in your hosts file.

Again, my apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks to my brother, Sciere, for helping me out.

Xfire.be DNS problems

Without any notice, our domain name xfire.be has been taken into quarantine. I have mailed the company which monitors my dns accounts and asked them to reinstate the domain. This might take a while.

However, Xfire is still available through the following address:

http://xfire.fragland.net

As Arni said in his journal, you can still access our domain without the fragland nameservers. All you have to do is add the ip and hostname to the Windows HOSTS file.

Edit the following file or create it if it doesn't exist.

- Windows 95/98/Me:
C:\Windows\hosts
- Windows NT/2000/XP Pro:
C:\Windows(or winnt)\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
- Windows XP Home:
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
- Linux/Unix
/etc/hosts

Add the following line:

195.162.203.184 www.xfire.be

I apoligize for the inconvenience. Tell your friends..
