Edit: There should be more votes for 6v6 because most(*all :p) clans that are commited to 5v5 have an acc on xfire(More familiar with the scene) and want to play Lans/EC, the so called "skilled clans". And the "fun" clans obviously dont give a shit about Lans/EC + 90% of them do not have an acc on xfire and would obviously vote for 6v6 because 5v5 rubbish. Same goes for the last polls about this, 6v6 would have a lot more votes if you asked _everyone_ who plays ET in a clan. My guess is that the results would look like 10% 75% 15% , fo with this retarded 5v5 decision :/

Where was the time clans like idle and u96d were the ones who suggested what was good for ET. If ET were a democracy we would still be playing lvl4 fullholds on oasis.

Sure, pronedelay and removal of the skill system was accepted only after they had been used for a while - but neither of them got even nearly as much objection as this 5on5 thingy. It's damn clear that people prefer 6on6. We already have 3on3 for those who want to aim for the head without really needing much tactics.

We played 2 weeks 5on5, and we are like... oh noes. Its a smg action game, i mean, make a double kill and you passed that part of the map if you get some luck with spawns

i voted for "commited to 6on6" though CB will force us to train 5on5 too for OC. The situation is so rediculous, sry...

Should probably keep out of it as I don't play ET anymore but heh!

1) To EVERYONE using the XP argument in relation to 5-v-5, STOP! NOW!

It was right to limit / eliminate XP, but being right about that doesn't make anyone right about anything else, it only makes them right about XP. The fact a sizeable section of the ET community were initially against removing XP doesn't mean the majority are wrong in this case, each fundamental change to ET should be decided on it's own merits.

2) Someone above noted that a large number of Clans who either don't post here or don't care about LANs etc. would probably favour 6-v-6. I'd agree with that, this poll can only ever be biased by the nature of the people who visit this site. Taken as a whole I suspect 6-v-6 is the favoured format for the VAST majority of ET players.

3) 5-v-5, 6-v-6 (7-v-7, 8-v-8, 4-v-4) these are all arbitrary limits, the game was _designed_ for 16-v-16 with full XP. 6-v-6 works with a config designed for it with 3 years worth of tweaking, 5-v-5 could be made to work as well as 6-v-6 without question, so NEITHER is BETTER than the other in that sense, they're exactly equivalent (as are 4-v-4 and 7-v-7 etc.)

4) To anyone feeling even the slightest sense of guilt that favouring 6-v-6 is somehow splitting the community, DON'T. 6-v-6 is the accepted de-facto format. The people proposing 5-v-5 are the ones splitting the community, not you.

5) I proposed 5-v-5 myself, over a year ago, and made many of the same arguments for it that have been used since, and if I was still playing ET I'd be very strongly in favour of moving to 5-v-5. However, I'm even more strongly in favour of playing the format the MAJORITY of ET players want, which in my opinion is undoubtedly 6-v-6.
