Has this seasons EC been the worst ever for ET?

With all four of the four First Round Upper Bracket matches forfeited, and a tournament devoid of the big name players - has this been the worst ET EuroCup season ever?

Can it really compare to previous seasons that's seen the likes of parodia & u96d and the unforgettable double elimination bracket of EC XI?

And if not what was?

even though I havent really followed it, there seem to be no much competition. lack of pracc opponents eat motivation when you need to search a match for 1hour so many teams lack motivation to pracc. it's pretty much skilled mixeds or so.

professionalism is missing completely.

I expected this to happen, but it's still disappointing. I can imagine that some players are not entirely motivated to prac hard and give everything they got. But letting it slip this hard and even forfeit playoff matches with some lame excuses is just embarrassing. If they really didn't have time to commit to a couple of matches, they shouldn't have signed up in the first place. So my advise would be: play for real or GTFO.

At the beginning of this EC I wouldve thought this was gonna be one of the best EC's since recent seasons but it's been a major disappointment so far.

Wait.. We're on a gaming site discussing a tourney and I'm saying its a major disappointment considering there were several forfeits in the play offs and I'm talking like an uber nerd? This is a fucking gaming site and discussion about games is the definition of a gaming site. Unless you're called spiroze and you quit gaming and now come back daily on this site looking for people to flame about how geek they are. I'm wondering who the real geek is, you or me?

Either this EC or EuroCup XV was the worst, depends how the rest plays out. But keep in mind, there's still some occasion for upsets and interesting games.

The majority of the evolve roster couldn't even place top 5 in Eurocup when the good players were taking it seriously. I know it's rather elitist, but I doubt I'm the only one who thinks like this.

if cb promises some stuff for winning the ec, and doesnt give anything they promised to the winners, why should they keep their motivation if they for example didnt get their 1st place award twice in a row

would anyone be motivated to win an imaginated prize 3rd time?

When the teams were announced it looked like it was gonna be one of the better EC's. But no team is praccing and cares about ec anymore, and with the forfeits in playoffs = epicfail

it was more spam-lotto based as xp upgrades were turned on....

almost every team had pf-rambo-sold with fast recharge,
all of them were spamming the hell outta opoonents with arties itd.... it wasn't that aim based but 4 sure more spectacular ...

No proper coverage,match reports and stuff = shit.

The one thing that made a match special/not boring was TosspoTs shoutcasting and now that its gone the matches are boring to watch.

Never liked any of the eurocups. All the lans that et had have been way more fun to watch/play and had a MUCH better coverage.
Also i hate how long it takes to play trough ec, it's fucking boring with this 1 game per week crap, i really wish it could be two games per week for each team. Thursday and Sunday for example.
