Voted TAG as i think they were one of the least expected to end up in 3rd place and beat some of the teams they beated unlike previous seasons, they improved a lot, almost everyone expected MM VS ECW final.

It's team of the year, not surpriser of the year... Which I find MM to deserve as well

If MM vs ECW was an expected final (it sure wasn't expected @ the start of the year...), it simply means that the winner of that match is fucking pro & consistently successful = team of the year.

Metaphor: Take smth like a tournament between Mamut.si, 1 med+ clan, 1 med- team and 1 lowskill noobteam. Mamut wins. Noobs come 3rd. You vote the 3rd place finisher for "team of the tournament", because they weren't expected to score that high, and mamut vs med+ was expected anyway. Not good.

I voted ECW because they were the closest to Anonymous SNB...

SNB really came out of nowhere in January 2009 to be one of the top teams in both CC6 and EC - a truly stunning achievement, one of the most impressive feats in all-time ET, given the quality of the opposition at the time, tbh.

MM have been impressive too, but I think SNB pip them with the LAN result.

I'm afraid I have an ingrained prejudice against the Finnish scene in general as well, due to all the attempts to disrupt NC and EC matches (and ETTVs) when I was a supervisor. I don't know if anyone in MMs had anything to do with that, but it was extremely annoying when I was running the cups.
