Haha, best Handball description ever btw. It should be used on Wikipedia.
This is Oskar. Oskar is sad because of schnee.
I think you might have misunderstood me, I know he had to work hard. And it speaks for his character that he always feels like he has to prove himself. But at the same time this might be his greatest frustration aswell, since he is getting so much attention, money and pressure that he feels like he has to prove himself day after day to earn it, and he gets really frustrated if it doesn't happen.
You are right to mention that a lot of the top players are the same way, which is why I said and I quote : "I don't think he is a bad guy, just spoiled and passionate."
(That aside, I still think the salaries for these guys are ridicilous and rarely have a beneficial effect on ones character)
About the salaries, I believe that the top players do give so much back both on/off the pitch that their salaries are more matched to their qualities, than lets say for instance a mediocre player in a mediocre club in Premier League who makes 5-6 millions euros a year, now that to me is ridiculous. Not to mention those terrible players here in Norway, who make way too much compared to their skill and marked value.
Anything else gives me a headache. Some players are so bad, so slow and stupid that I wonder how they managed to make it their job. But this Euro2012 has been an absolute joy to watch!
I still think they are overpayed, but I find that of e.g CEO's aswell. But that's an entirely different discussion. I'm just convinced that the downwards spiral of our economy is due to the fact that surplusses generated by increased productivity are flowing towards individuals and irrelevant expenditures. This used to be compensated because the Western nations were leaning heavily on Colonies to substitute those 'dissapearing' surplusses. But as I said: entirely different discussion :)
