I didn't really want to make a comment since MTM said it's an old clip so I wasn't too bothered, but since you brought it up. :-)

You disagree that it's not creative? Feel free to explain. It's not a creative concept, although it could definitely be presented creatively. However, with the bastardisation of Clint Mansell and the uninteresting editing it wasn't.

Flashing up of still images for 30 seconds? Big minus

Having a shoutcast comment on exciting events that are at the other end of the map while we're watching Lepari standing still? Big minus

Only the docrun itself should have been exclusively focused on Lepari. The whole build up was a team effort and the video should have showed that.

Lots of opportunites for cams not used.

Content is 7 because it was an exciting match. I remember listening in (since it was the early production stages of mAx Chapter 3 and I was keeping an eye on his matches).

Quality wasn't that good, plus the inclusion of the HUD wasn't necessary, the name font looked pretty bad too.

crossfire members who understand what creativity, editing, content and quality mean are a minority so you shouldnt be surprised by people not understanding your vote.
this clip is not very creative, editing is very unimpressive and quality is poor, but it was by far best clip i've seen in last few month (i never saw that match so this was new to me).
if crossfire had some kind of feeling rating, i'd rate it same as you did, but i'd give it 11/10 in that feeling part cause imo, it kicks ass in that sense :p

I see. We simply differ in this sense. I felt there was a lot of potential for exciting action with the shoutcast and the music. But mix that with Lepari standing still for about 7 seconds waiting on a gate opening or something is just bad editing.

I never intended to publish this clip :p I only made it for a couple of people to show what actually happened in that match. Cba to make and edit it properly!

And no, this is not an excuse, just the truth :-) There are a lot of things I'd never make in an official movie.

Technically you're probably right since I have no fucking idea about how to make a movie. But this little clip almost gave me the goosebumps(?) and that's what matters to me in such a clip.

- The music is prolly used in other things aswell, but it fit really well.

- You're right about the use of cams, they could've made it more interesting.

- The shoutcast from Tosspot just made it brilliant to watch and was used in a right way for a normal viewer like me (non-moviemaking)

That's a great example of this kind of thing I think. Probably the best example, and it has the vent recording instead of shoutcast during the match.

another great example of what et movies should show. even thou it lacks cameras and its kind of hard to keep track of the whole action first time you see it, it was one of the best et movies i saw and i still have it on my hdd.
i dont know why people keep doing so many fragmovies, et is about exciting matches that require teamplay... i only wish more people would make such vids

I agree on pretty much everything.

But quite obviously this clip wasn't a 100 percent effort, rather something quick and fun put together after the match, so I'd avoid dwelling on excess criticism... Not saying it's wrong to voice an opinion, just thinking it's good to consider the variables affecting the end result and keep the criticism in a proper perspective.

So, A for effort, B for the delivery in my books. Keep trucking, MTM. :)

i remember watching this match and cheering on belgium at the time thinking htat they would grab a nationscup they deserved. It was not to be as lepari capped off a brilliant finland performance. he was easily the player of the tournament though.
