It’s been just three weeks of intense Eurocup action, but we’ve once again reached that final defining stage. Eight are gone, just eight remain. The teams now four wins away from a showdown in the “Grand Final”.
This season’s action was slow off the mark, with a mundane first week going the way of the favourites. But as time progressed rivalries flared and the action of old kicked in, some classic encounters making the final few games as tense as ever. This was emulated on the final day of the group stages, as a strong one4one team took on Team Helix, a must win game for both in Group B - that night also signalled the return of iTG Tosspot for the Xmas period. We were in for a treat, a three map thriller ensued in which one4one proved eventual winners, securing their place in the quarter finals and a showdown with Oceans6.
