CB EC discussion

In this article, I would like to discuss about the recent eurocup invite and qualifier selections picked by clanbase.

Now we all know clanbase is known for its "strange" decisions but I am starting to wonder if they do this on purpose..

why should oc premier winners get a direct invite i dont think any directly invited oc winner has ever made it even to the playoffs
usually they manage to lose every single game so i think its good to change that pattern

Why would they not be invited? For god's sake, if they have won the OC premier, isn't that a proof enough that they don't belong in this division anymore? Where should they go from there if not to the EC? And what has the playoffs anything to do with that? Nobody expects them to win the EC or something, it's all about playing it.

They got a qualifier so I don't see the problem here ;

if they lose that qualifier they don't deserve EC and if they win it then they are in EC anyway.

whats so suprising about testing a 2 weeks clan once more?

Well, I agree a qualifier could be the 2nd choice. But this season the qualifiers were complete bullshit and out of order. We could see some of the best qualifier teams competing against each other whereas there were two 2-week mixes against each other. The qualifiers should be played so that a good team plays against a bad team, not the way we see now. I don't want to go to the details since I don't want to offend anybody.

So you play oc premier a whole season and then whether you're ec skill or not depends on one qualifier match, which could be against a very tough team.

oc winners deserve quali ofc
a team that is directly invited should be able to make it to the playoffs atleast imo
direct invite doesnt seem right when they are in whole different skill level compared to others
it wouldnt be fair for the 6th direct invite team that their spot is stolen by oc prem winners

btw i dont think the 1 game qualifiers are that fair but that again is whole other topic

They were in the qualifiers but got removed after flame and whine from the community or so.

no affence to infernal but they wouldnt be able to compete at that level either.

Also,you said you cant compare teams like highbot to a team like h2k, thats bullshit, even masculine mans can beat h2k these days lol.

whilst we maybe cant compete at the level of a real EC yet the chance to play a qualifier would atleast be deserved in comparison to some random new teams popping up only for the EC groupstage

n1 at admins claiming they would rather pick stable teams and shizzle. Guess that was a lie xD
