As everyone knows now CB and now also ''Europe'' changed yawspeed from 140 to 0. But why is that?

What does it do? Yawspeed determines the speed of the turn-movement. A 200 yawspeed player will turn slightly faster with arrows then a 180 yawspeed player. 0 Yawspeed reduced the turning speed to zero a.k. players can't move with arrows.

All games like cod/cod2/quake allow yawspeed between 0-200, but ET just changed it.

Well, according to CB some guys use this for 180 degree turning scripts or something similiar, BUT as usual CB forgot some things.....

/ 180 degree turn
//bind X "com_maxfps 50; wait 2; cl_yawspeed 1800; +left; wait 10; -left; com_maxfps 333; cl_yawspeed 140"

That is the command for an 180 degree turn. Default was 140 but you could put it higher to 1800. Out of safety reason CB changed it to 0. They forgot however that it makes playing impossible for players who turn with keys instead of mouse. (aim with mouse, turn with keys)

So what for consequences has this change? People who still play with the arrows (like old
quake players mostly do) can't continu their gaming activities. Especially the older players have this kind of setup. Every player starts turning with arrows. This has been made impossible.


Solution : Yawspeed EQ 0 till 200
