As everyone knows now CB and now also ''Europe'' changed yawspeed from 140 to 0. But why is that?

What does it do? Yawspeed determines the speed of the turn-movement. A 200 yawspeed player will turn slightly faster with arrows then a 180 yawspeed player. 0 Yawspeed reduced the turning speed to zero a.k. players can't move with arrows.
All games like cod/cod2/quake allow yawspeed between 0-200, but ET just changed it.
Well, according to CB some guys use this for 180 degree turning scripts or something similiar, BUT as usual CB forgot some things.....

That is the command for an 180 degree turn. Default was 140 but you could put it higher to 1800. Out of safety reason CB changed it to 0. They forgot however that it makes playing impossible for players who turn with keys instead of mouse. (aim with mouse, turn with keys)

So what for consequences has this change? People who still play with the arrows (like old
quake players mostly do) can't continu their gaming activities. Especially the older players have this kind of setup. Every player starts turning with arrows. This has been made impossible.

I aim with mouse, I turn with keyboard.
It is a common used form when playing Quake 1/2/3/4. When you switch game, you keep the way you aim.
I understand it's difficult to grasp, but it's a way off playing from the old days. I really can't switch this style, as it would be equally hard for you to switch from mouse to keys after playing for several years etc

I do not use the keys to turn anymore but I used to because I am from the Q1/2/3 generation.
This like many other things that have gone before is yet another interference in what used to be a good game by Clanbase and others.
If they want the game to die they should just drop all of the ladders and cups instead of killing it painfully and slowly with stupid ideas such as this.

turn left right with arrows? u need to aim someguys that stands higher then u press uparrow? or just that u can do a "circle" if u holding left/rightarrow? if i remember correctly, this can be scripted without yawspeed, have to find that script thou... Edit: nope, it can't be scripted without yawspeed
Btw why shouldn't a lowsens player who can't do 180°+ turn be allowed to use this script? :O

For annoying people who use "No damage feedback" cheats (ie. No-recoil when being hit). In this way, they can't know any more where from they are fired. It reduces their power...
- Force cvar cg_bloodFlash to "0"
But it doesn't give you the attacker's location.
This cheat is undetectable (for spectators - damage feedback is a client-side effect) and this is the only thing we can make against that.
2. Shouldnt it be yawspeed IN 0 200 instead of EQ 0 200

4. Automatic scripts like 180° turn are pretty useless, eventhough I had it in my config since version 1, but only used it for fun like spinning 0_0.
