Multigaming giants Dignitas, have this week confirmed that they will be shuffling their cards in both ET and CoD for CPC2, in this rather speculative and fun column, I analyse where next they may head. Dignitas have one of the biggest wardrobes in gaming, with hooded jackets, t-shirts and more, so this really is the race to become Dignitas’ next top model!

The most successful Wolfenstein player ever, one of only a few players to ever collect two 1st place's at Quakecon and he’s Estonian! Yes, that can only be Dignitas' lovable leader, Night.

However, it now looks likely that for the Crossfire PrizeFight Challenge, Night will not be available to Dignitas and the memories of defeats to CDAP and zP will come flooding back to urtier and the gang. Night is often accredited by the avid ETTV viewer as having the best gamesense, whatever that may mean. To me that means intelligence and I think he has plenty of it, however anyone that can call the attacks the way he does needs a round of applause, Dignitas are at times Shakespearean in their offence.

However enough with the pleasantries and onto the speculation (and that’s all this column is)! The purpose of this is to asses the front runners for his replacement, gbooky style!

3/1 - FAVOURITE - Ireland sol - This former *BiO* superstar has made quite the name for himself as a leader of men. Famed in his spells during rA he made the move to Idle prior to their moving to DoD:Source. He did enough to keep the tag for a year despite inactivity and was good enough for urtier to include him in the Western Allstars despite being inactive. His ability to command and his history with the team makes him an obvious replacement, plus his return to activity with Black Magic only helped his chances.

6/1 Estonia Intact - Quakecon champion with u96d, and Wolfenstein legend with Rewind and Dignitas, Intact has nothing to prove. He has successfully comeback to the game in the past and the chance to go straight into a LAN side may prove tempting. Intact recently commented that he may play again, although the summer timeframe was his preference.

7/1 Sweden ferus - When rejoining Idle in the summer of 2006, ferus cited his friendship and admiration for Night's leadership as main reasons. This young swede has commanded the ET headlines since Eurocup X with Saevus after emerging from the rubble of LD where he learnt his trade alongside Raziel. After the collapse of his former CSS team Reason Gaming the window of opportunity is open for one of the games greatest players, however his desire to lan lan lan may keep him on the Source engine.

9/1 Finland sAintt - If you watched the 'fracas' between u96d and Parodia that almost cost EC XI its grand final you wouldn’t believe the respect that the Idle players have for sAintt. Infact if rumours are to be believed he spent time with the side back in the day potentially preparing for a high profile transfer. They respect his intelligence and ability, however if he was going to have make a comeback you have to feel that it would have been with Impact.

35/1 Austria Darky - Known friend of the Dignitas players, Darky leads Dignitas current closest opposition zeroPoint, and guided Saevus clear of u96d in the EC X group stages. Picking up Darky could destroy zP and do Dignitas some favours, but his loyalty to the zP team would get in the way, his housemate Rapture may never speak to him again!

200/1 Estonia Galahad - A known fan of the team, this Estonian mafia member has guided the side to two successive Quakecons and brought r3vers back into the game with Kujuneb. His new job and lack of internet connection make him an unlikely candidate.

1000/1 Finland mystic - The one trophy that has escaped Dignitas in ET is that of the games most fanboyed player. Signing mystic is like signing Beckham, those Dignitas shirt sales would go through the roof! However, his loyalty knows no boundaries and despite only just returning to activity, its unlikely he'll move to a non parodia/gunslingers roster.

Onto the Call of Duty team, and Mick this week decided to say a heartfelt goodbye to Palmz after the disappointment of the shgOpen. Whilst loosing Palmz will not have quite the same effect as the loss of Night (ET’s version of Mick if you will), it has fired up the rumour mill and its now in hyperdrive!

The CoD2 scene is currently bubbling with talent, and its not as easy as it may once have been to predict who might go where. In an interview with Crossfire, Mick did state his desire to stay British if at all possible and with the UK scene thriving with successful teams he may be able to do so if he pleases, lets check in with the booky!

6/1 – FAVOURITE – Ireland Crow – Crow is perhaps the most logical option should Mick wish to stay within the home nations for his players. Crow stole the Eurocup in sensational style from Dignitas in Denmark last year. He has often played the leader role, aswell as the shotgun role, both positions already occupied at Dignitas. Crow is currently clanless and still active on the CoD front, so may be looking for another avenue back into the game.

7/1 Finland Plaekki – One of the most talented players in Europe and very much up for grabs. It is only his nationality that holds him back from being favourite for the role. This check6 eurocup champion is certainly one of the most highly rated players in Europe and the oppourtunity to join a stable and supported lineup may prove to tempting to resist should Mick look abroad.

9/1 United Kingdom Niggle – Prior to palmz joining the Dignitas outfit and winning the last race to be Dignitas’ next top model, Niggle was touted as a possible player. He has nationality on his side and whilst his C.V. dosent have a Eurocup gold on it, he still has top end experience to offer. After the recent formation of the new Reason Gaming side (or reformation of TmG) it may be a cold move to poach one of their best players, however its not out of the question.

9/1 United Kingdom Yekoms – Currently the 6th man or coach of the Dignitas side, he has a long lasting relationship with the team that could make for an easy transition into the side. Yekoms has a wealth of experience in CoD1 & 2, and of course has nationality on his side, but whether he wants to make the move into activity again is very much up for debate.

9/1 Sweden zEm – Another Check6 Eurocup winner and another big name. With serious gaming losing mint this week, the organization could be on the verge of collapse after a torrid time. The swede has an arsenal of fans and could be an easier pickup now that mint has left serious.

12/1 Sweden Mint - Strong and versatile, mint dosent steal the headlines but is never a loser. The fourth check6 player to appear in the roster, (sorry sacrim), having left serious just days ago the move across to Dignitas seems logical. As a WHOCrew CoD2 star he knows where flair is!

15/1 United Kingdom Moose – One of a number of former supermen that Mick can call upon should he need. Moose was the definition of an impact player back in CoD1, and whilst he never truly set the touch paper alight in the sequel, he still carries the reputation to make him worth a mention.

45/1 Norway plaZma – Recently returning to the game, plaZma has just joined the newly formed excello CoD2 team and wont be available for the CPC2. His flamboyant play style makes him a joy to watch, but his inactivity combined with school makes this an unlikely reunion.

200/1 Germany Trigger – After playing with TeK-9 for the shgOpen, the most lovable of Germans re-announced himself to the community with a silver medal. One of THE allstar CoD players, he has LAN experience and medals to boast. His loyalty to Speedlink and Ocrana has never been in doubt, and that could prove to be the stumbling block, that and his multi-million euro contract to the ‘yuuunnnngggggs’ franchise.

The race to be Dignitas’ next top Model is well and truly on, place your bets now on one of the great races of 2007! Also follow the highs and lows of Dignitas on their new homepage, www.crossfire.nu!
