I guess the biggest reason I wanna go to Crossfire LAN is because it's in NL where u got coffee-shops etc..
Denmark might be fun too.. but belgium.. dunno rly :)
What else can you do around that area where the lan is? Some nice clubs, bars etc?
Don't really see how that's relevant to Antwerp as the venue. Afaik they're not locking you up inside.
Antwerp is one big pub mate, especially in that area. If you have 10 pubs in Enschede within 5 km of the venue, you have 100 pubs in Antwerp in 2 km of the venue.
dont think so
only saw him doing good things (adminning cic7 / getting ET to AEF / being a nice guy on- and offline)
for making a 'shit' mappool, which wasn't made by him
Now I am confused :) So can somebody tell what happend?
find "Krosan" replace with "admins" and the column was probably still pretty accurate
afaik colums are there to spark debate. even if the facts werent all correct, the message was still there. Get top clans to decide on maplists. That part im ready to debate. Nuking the column, now that was just wrong.
hint: google 'TED reddit'. you dont controle the message, your userbase does.
entryfee?
About crossfire lans, when did i ever flame crossfire lans? Actually, I had the decency to defend stu plenty of times when ppl where flaming the crossfire lan for being to expensive, not well organized, bad location and lots of other crap from randoms who never whent there (ofc you will start denying this, dont ask me to use the crossfire search feature)
What i did do is point out that on every single lan there were problems with the sound drivers, eventhough I explained this on cc2 - cc3 - cc4 - cc5 and cc6, but thats just a personal attack on the incompetence of stu when it comes down to computers. I guess its only fair since whenever you have an arguement with him he seems to negate every reasoning or ratio and just go personel.
TLDR; Social networking and social newssite have been around for a couple of years now. You arent crossfire, your userbase is. I visit this site for ppl I like to keep in contact with.
beside that 80% of the content on this page is random flame.... finding something usefull here is a rarity or, lets say so, finding a intelligent discussion (about whatever) here without having 80% bullshit in it is even more a rarity . So, to sum it up, i wouldnt be too proud of 150k hits per month.
if you take a look over to tankspot.com (a wow community site) you will see how professional and well done that website is and there are maybe just 10% flame and the rest is serious discussion.
You obviously know Jack about website culture and marketing. You ask the majority of cf users who they want to shoutcast games...the answer will be invariably tosspot. Ask yourself why...
this all started with him choosing to defend clown, someone with the exact same douche personality as he himself is unfortunate enough to have to deal with the rest of his life
overdrive is the sort of person who is sure he is indefinitely clever and therefore feels it is very important for him to give his peon opinion, or flame if you will, on every single thing he comes across. wouldnt be surprised if he goes about things the same way in real life not aware of the fact that 90% of the people he has dealings with are completely and utterly sickened by his neverending moaning and misplaced arrogance.
good luck! :X
That's not a measure of success of crossfire, that's a measure of your own personal success/gain.
