You really can’t separate money and poker. If you’ve never played the game you might think it’s all about luck. It’s not. Of course luck is involved. But so is skill. That’s why there are professional poker players. There are people out there who make a profit year on year and have done for twenty, thirty, forty years or more. They do it by being good. Regularly.
You simply can’t be that lucky. It’s not just about the cards you’re dealt: it’s about the way you play them. It’s about the knowledge and the bets you make. And the bets you don’t make.
The same is true of all sports, and Esports betting. You must study the form and play the odds. It’s due to this that I can equivocally state that Next Evolution are the best value for this weekends SAGE LAN.
I can state this as I’ve devised an infallible system. First: the form books.
Based on two data points, the National Statistics prior to Crossfire Challenge 5 and these Silly Statistics we can devise a rank for each nation.

We can then look at the nationality breakdown of each individual team. Each team is awarded points based on whatever nationality they have amongst their ranks. For example a team with 5 Irish players in would rack up a measily 5 points, making their chances of victory all but non-existant.

As you can see due to being a lineup consisting solely of Belgian payers Next Evolution top the table. This and their good odds should see the chancers looking for a higher return take the gamble. Whilst tournament favourites Anexis are well out of contention with large risk for little reward. For the safer betters Team Dignitas, whilst offering shorter odds rank amongst the most likely to win this weekend.
And will anyone but herbal be willing to chase the odds with Titanz?

It is a wonder how the results will be policied. What's to stop everyone dumping a load on Titanz & miss-reporting the score? If a few people got on @ 25/1 with (what I think is the max bet) £100 that's a fair bit of cash to be made.
I imagine if there's irregular betting the whole thing'll just get pulled.
It's still a good start, I assume you're the Paddy Power link / work there?
e:oh I see now, you count with that czech = 0 points, ok, that makes your calculations more reliable. not that we would be worth any gamble, yet even smalles holes in calculation leads into serious doubts about rest
Also this is a classic example of an entire article written to fluff one paragraph of content. I am disappointed Nellie, where is the reasoning or justification for this arbitrary attempt at rating ET teams. And why are you talking about poker.
With a behavior like this et will never get any sponsors/promoters :)
