A few nights ago saw a rampant Poland NETrunners punch well above there weight by defeating a new look Sweden zeroPoint! side by 4-0 and secure $100 in the process, but it also more importantly saw the EuroCup XV sign up period quietly close with a couple of unforeseen surprises for the avid Enemy Territory fan.

The lead up period for this Eurocup has been strangely non-eventful in comparison with former seasons, with no competitions for new teams to compete in and show there worth, and not that many new teams to start with. So what have with we seen instead? The first edition of a ET Masters competition which saw only well established teams battle it out and #ET-Cup edition 25, which was a show cup testing a new map (Karsiah_te), and of course the venerable 1 day cups which occupy every Sunday afternoon. In light of this I decided to investigate some of the teams who have not really had the chance to shine and whom would be looking for an elusive Eurocup qualifier spot. Now I will be blunt here, I personally don't know what format this Eurocup will take but I would be highly surprised if it wasn't 20 team (4 groups of 5?), seeing as there are so many good teams currently battling it out at present, with a high number of direct invites to ensure a certain grade of skill is met for the group stages.
