So we’ve gone past our group stages and finally, we have our last-sixteen games to look forward to! There has been a wide variety of great match-ups so far, with some teams stepping up to the plate when it really mattered.

Finally we arrive at I34 after two long weekends at the Antwerp eSports Festival and The eXperience in Denmark. It has been an great trip for myself and the teams attending with everyone getting to know each other and several nights partying or joking around in the hot sun we were lucky enough to have.

Roughly five years ago Enemy Territory got released, and boy was it a promising game. It had the best engine for 2003 standards, a revolutionary gameplay and the unconditional hate from the RTCW-Community. In early 2004 the source code for the game logic got released in order to give the modding community more freedom. This resulted in Bani’s ETPRO which most will agree is a gift from heaven.

A-tournament
The prize purse of the A-tournament is 25.000 Euro.



The A-tournament will consist of 8 groups of 4 teams (32 teams), followed by double elimination. The first and second placed teams in each group are placed in upper bracket, while third and fourth teams are placed in lower bracket, guaranteeing each team at least 4 matches.

I've had to move the match reports here because basically, I was breaking the forum thread with the amount of bbcode added to it. I'll split up all the weeks/stages into different pages and I'll link to them from the forum topic so that you can still find them.

As you read on, you’ll see some match previews for our first week of group stage games, along with some information about when they will take place. Each week I will pick out a “Game of the Week” to focus on which will be accompanied by a little extra in-depth analysis, combined with some opinions from the scene itself.

I'll open by admitting that I'm going to keep this article brief. What I'll be including is my predictions on the outcomes of this nations cup based on the recently announced lineups.
