shawshank redemption? Gotta say i enjoyed the dark night too, avatar aswell. Goodfellas would be up there. Godfather part 2, pulp fiction, inglourious basterds, gladiator (cant wait to see robin hood) and all the bourne films.

Mhmm... Top3 is hard indeed. Especially because of the many different catergories.

Saving Private Ryan is good but it isn't comparable with a movie like 'One flew over the cuckoos nest' which is a 'very' old movie but its really nice.

I personally prefer movies with a good storyline, can be a little bizar like Memento, but also movies like Reservior Dogs i love. Which make me think right now quentin tarantino movies are my style.

Mabye its just because i'm a really movie-lover i also like the most SuperHero movies.. which is kinda strange because its very lineair and expectable.

If i have to state good movies which could be in my top 3 these will pop up in my mind right away:

Memento
V for Vedetta
Watchmen
Pulp Fiction (Some more which dont pop up in my midn right now strangly enough)

Furthermore i think there are some movies you just have seen but aint in my top3 (like you stated Aliens). I dont know what you expect me to post but i hope this is helpfull for you
