If you do not know (or as you probably know, noname) when chaplja was coding cheats pansemuckl was still swinging on trees, and everyone knows pansemuckl is a crap in coding and anything web related, tell me how many times nC got hacked please, 10 times? doesn't sound really pro to me, only rainerstoff is pretty good, pansemuckl's etBot is a rip off from nexus, it has the same source code, sounds like a very talented coder idd, even i can be a pro coder if the anti-cheat my bot is running on PunkBuster.

it completely doenst matter how good chaplja is/was. The main point in all is if the SLAC will be able to catch NC-cheatusers, and from the quote above i see thats exactly the main point of him. He doenst believe the SLAC gonna bust private hacks. Some of us definitaly believe the same coz of the long standing success of those hacks.

anti3 was an "anticheat" that was made in some days, it detected etBot. (remember gnajda? not even PB could do that, and this was made in a few days)

Pansemuckl wasn't even going to make his bot "undetected", instead he was going to DDos the master server cos his shit bot was detected.

And dude, besides PB was never ever working at Linux. All the smart cheaters (minority) which don't wanted to spend money on a free game, just had to use Linux and they were free to cheat at both publics and wars.

We disabled PB because of lag, not because it couldnt catch cheaters. So why we need an anti-cheat even if doesnt work? Because then we can be sure only "professional" cheaters left unlike now where everyone can use public hacks.

So we just need something that doesnt lag like PB and it will be fine.

We will always have those private cheater customers that pay and renew their accounts for private "undetected hacks"
The situation in this game has reach the point were anything is welcome, someone is doing an anticheat great..
The minimum to expect is that it will catch those public free haxs, if it detects private haxs even better.

What we need is a decent anticheat and a public database for players. So everyone has a place to check players... what yawn should have been. An account system as announced. If it lags.. is not the main issue for me, better a bit of lag than the actual situation.

Tbh I think PB is not a random shit program.. quite complicated in fact. Probably SLAC will be better on some points, but impossible to improve everything (would take huge amounts of time?). And who says SLAC won't be cracked somehow? Wouldn't it be the first program who wouldn't?

Purchasing a nC bot will probably get you busted, unless you're busy all the time with changing stuff etc.. well have fun spending so much time on a hack to make it not seen, lol. Still lots of nerds who do that however..

One major diff between SLAC and PB is that SLAC will have silent detection. This is one thing that will at least make it more difficult for the cheat coder.

IF IF IF IF slac ever gets finished (I stil have some bad feelings cause of antipro ;) ) , then it will be rad.. but still I'm worried about installing it since it's made by a crazy good coder (who made/sold hacks in the past) and he just needs to have one bad idea in his mind and he can get too much information out of our computres.. the fact that he gets payed will prolly keep him away from doing bad things I suppose?

In a normal world yes, money and the contract should stop him from doing something like that.
He is not the only coder here and If he ever decides to do something as you mention he will do that to a big community where there are people with knowledge to get information from him and many angry kids.
Apart from all the legal issues he could face doing something like that.
